DDQ 2* nodes w/ underleveled/covered chars

I'm curious to know if the 2* nodes are regularly beatable if some/all of your lineup is under-covered and/or under-leveled. The reason I'm asking is because I'm hoarding my 2* covers, but so far I haven't been able to collect 13 of any one character in two weeks before they expire. I was wondering if for example I could just sell my 144 Thor and replace him with 1/1/5 version and still polish off DDQ.
