Invest in Phoenix or not?

So I have a maxed Xforce Wolverine and Fury. Besides that I've been rather unlucky in my 4* pulls, since I only have 13 covers of Elektra, Ant-man and Invisible Woman. I did get relatively lucky with my 5 stars. I have a lvl 300 4/2/1 Phoenix that I could train to lvl 360.

The question is: should I invest in my Phoenix? Or should I max my Elektra or Ant-man? Or perhaps just wait until I have 13 covers of one of the top tier 4 stars (I have 11 Jean Gray, 9 Hulkbuster, 9 Cyclops)?

And if I decide to train my Phoenix, will it screw up my scaling?

I'd love to get some advise!

Take my advice with caution (as I don't have a usable Phoenix). She won't make an big impact on your roster, but will most likely affect your scaling. I say hold off and focus on your 4*. Antman is good, but again won't make a big impact. Save the iso for IMHB, Jean, Cyclops, RHulk, Iceman, XFDP etc...

from what I hear, phoenix really gets good at about 4 purple. a 1/4/2 might be worth it (dontcha love rng?). I'd hesitate with a 4/2/1. like pongie, this is hearsay and second hand info. I'd save it up for tier 1 and tier 2 4*s.

I have a 2/2/2 Phoenix myself and only use her for curb-stomping trivial nodes, so this is all thought-experiment advice:

I would not level her right now. Phoenix really needs lots of purple covers to be awesome (in that respect, she is much more like a 3* or 4* than the other 5*s). Purple creates cascades, which do massive damage given her high match damage, and are also the key to boosting her strike tiles and nerfing the attack tiles she eventually spawns. Without it, her other two covers are just meh (though the green AOE post-ressurection is fun to use if you don't care about healthpacks).

You will probably get better results in the long-run with patience. save up some CP so you can max out whichever top tier 4* gets to 12 covers first. (note: the consensus top tier seems to be IMHB, Cyclops, Red Hulk, JG, and Iceman. the second tier is a bit more nebulous, but usually includes Carnage, Thing, Antman, and Xpool. Some more 2016 releases Nova, Quake, Punisher Max, and Kate Bishop, are all expected to be somewhere in the top two tiers when the dust settles.)

I have a 2/5/5 Phoenix at level 424. The scaling starts to get very noticeable at around level 350. Phoenix is good but I'm not sure it was worth it.
