Alliance only rewards. Game over man game OVER. I'll wait and see, but luckily I've been pulling more and more away from the game in recent weeks (good for multiple reasons) due to a number of reasons. If clan wars become a thing, well then...GAME OVER MAN.

I missed my first event, completely, in...ever I think...and I prob Wont be doing anything for this current bp bullfest of rewards so I am moving toward stopping playing anyway.

Dark souls needs my life. And being without iap games is nice. Haven't had a reason to get a true AAA title for months.

I'm still holding out hope that this is something like alliance-only progression rewards, with the normal placement award structure. Seems like something like this would be easier to implement as well.

Personally, I am stoked. If it turns out to be "Alliance Only" rewards I will be shocked. I would bet cash HP that the alliance rewards are in addition to the normal rewards. If that's the case, it's just gravy.

I'd also expect those alliance only rewards to be in addition to the standard ones. Most players haven't joined an alliance yet, sounds unreasonable to lock them out of the weekend event.

Is the tournament on? I haven't joined an alliance. Is this the reason why I don't see it? If yes, then I see this as great news for a change. I don't intend to join an alliance which means I'll play even less so I'll have more time for other games.
To make things even worse, MMR in the game sucks. When I got to 700+ in Predator and Prey I could only see 8-9 other players to attack. 5-6 of them gave 13-17 points and the rest had a maxed BP. Yeah right, like I am going to attack a 10k health beast that can KO my entire team. At the same time other players I never saw as options to attack could attack me normally (with the retaliation following of course from my part). Whoever designed the MMR system in the game did a half-assed job. Must be the same who playtested the abilities of Spiderman.

Still haven't purchased Dark Souls II though. Does anyone know if mouse/keyboard are fine in the sequel, or does it require gamepad to enjoy it?

Apparently, you haven't launched the game lately. The in-game banner says "alliance-only rewards" under the event.

That doesn't necessarily mean that all the rewards are alliance only. it could also be read as there are extra awards for alliances only. Ambiguity is fun.

I personally am with the people who think there will be alliance only rewards in addition to being able to obtain single player stuff. If it is purely alliance only then, I guess I'll sit back and watch how this all plays out and hope the rewards are nothing special.

I started an Alliance last weekend and 4 random people joined. I do not really want to kick them since that not the type of person I am. It will be interesting to see what alliance rewards are and how they are structured. I hope I dont have to go "Looking for Members with at least 3 lvl 85's" etc in the alliances section.

How do you search for an alliance? There's not a list or anything within the game? Do you just type in something random word and hope the search finds an alliance?

Only way to win a blue Black Panther cover is to be in an alliance, so at least part of the rewards have shifted over to alliance only. Used to be able to get 3 covers if you placed high enough, not anymore.
