Other amazing teams, beside Winfinite?

Winfinite is truly amazing (sw/gsbw/profx). Are there any other teams that are truly amazing for pve wins, particularly teams that don't include 5* characters? Sure, OML is great, but I'm looking for teams to use when he's dead or unavailable.

Vision/Fist/Blade. I use them for all easy nodes and sometimes well into the hard ones.
Vision is the initial oomph. Collect some blue, fire off density, and watch the enemy crumble. Even if you don't get the blue, Fist's automatic attack tile does the job in just a few more turns.
For longer matches, IF green and Blade's auto-red create strikes, both to fuel Blade's purple and enhance IF's automatic attack. Given a few turns you'll have a good portion of the board covered with friendly specials and be whaling on the opponent for 2k/match + 3k when the attack tiles fire off, practically downing a high-powered character every other turn (so long as you protect your assets).0 -
im40 with 4thor and/or iceman are great. used them on a wave node earlier in EotS. im40 and thor/boosted green or ice/boosted red works well. but 4thor and ice together are really good. thor can charge tiles and then ice purple turns red ones blue which usually sets up a lot of blue once you're done with what you have.
my go-to goon team is witch/px/jean - takes out cds like nobody's business. goon teams of ages past include falcon/mnmags/steve and falcon/witch/gsbw - falcon give just enough time to get the ap engines going. also used witch/mnmags/steve for a while before falcon was covered.
with mags and fist boosted, I pulled out my old shield simulator team of cage/fist/cmags - still works really well. xfw can also be subbed in for cage and you get lots of board shake or cyke gives a little more pop than cage but no defense tile. or you can go with 'cascade kings' of loki/xfw/cmags.
vision now brings lots of options to the table - just found the obw trick with him - that's really powerful if she can tank and survive long. witch - if you can get blue out before her first cd goes off, a nice cascade can down a character. any cascade maker or cheaper aoe works really well with vision. used him with fist and panther a few times. vision and kk also work well - I like hood as a third there.
not sure exactly what you were looking for - those are some of my teams I use.0 -

Vision KK and Panther are fun, but not fast. That's my TBE team now. Once you get yellow strikes and vision's blue out, it's basically one aoe per wave from there and they all go down.0 -
3* team perspective for PvE:
IM40, Cap (Steve Rogers 3*) and any other purple/black/green user (usually Iron Fist or Blade) are the best two choices for damage.
If you get IM40 recharge going, Cap's red and blue just kills and shuts down the other team, especially once you take down one of the enemy Cap's blue can shut another down for the whole match. Keep up the cycle. I usually prefer Blade due to his strike and attack tiles but if I go up against someone like Hood that I need to kill real fast I usually pick Iron Fist.
PvP:
One of my go to 3* teams for PvP too at times although it isn't as good on the defense since AI doesn't usually play IM40/Cap dynamic correctly.
My other go to PvP team is Classic Mags/Iron Fist/Hood. Usually good on the defense too. I get attacked less by 3* teams with this team since people know they are going to take damage and Hood always throws that wildcard of AP steal in that can swing a match. Certainly 4* or better rosters can handle an all 3* team.0 -
For longer runs with regular goons, Bullseye 3*. Mags 3* and Silver Surfer/Luke Cage. Just let Bullseye down opponents and watch how entire board is getting covered with strike tiles. If you have SS, then black hole does 2K damage with each turn and doesn't matter even if your entire team is stunned.0

Patch/Loki/Hood can punch way above its weight. You'll take a ton of hits if you use them in pvp, but they can get you past seemingly impossible gauntlet and simulator fights where heavier hitters are locked out.0

CMags/GSBW/Hood is the team I usually use for TBE; once you collect enough purple and red to go off, you can just blaze through the whole thing without taking another point of damage.
I like Daken/Falcon/IF pretty well for pushing quickly through low-health teams - one green match and one yellow match and suddenly you're doing 1k+ a turn without ever using any AP at all.
Falcon/3*Cap/IM40 is a pretty ridiculous combo for games that go long. Ridiculous board control and the damage ramps up to insane levels if you go long enough.0 -
I don't think there is anything like winfinite in terms of one move and computer doesn't get another turn, but I've used 4Thor/IM40/MoStorm and kept that going for a good while. IM40 charges red/blue/green up, use 4Thor blue and red, then use MoStorm green to hopefully get all colors back.0

You can keep the computer locked out for long portions of time with Quicksilver, Mystique and Iron Fist. Can be a wee bit slow to start, but great when it's going. 5 in Blue for Mystique, 5 in purple for Iron Fist probably 5 in Green as the turns won't be ending to use his attack tile much0

I like using Cage, IF, and Cmags. I can usually take down teams way above their level with them. If I know I've got a long match or waves coming up, I'll throw SS, Hood, and 3* Cap together. A lot of color overlap, but once it gets rolling, it's a bulldozer.0

I'll echo , , . With +2 all and +2B/P you are two turns from Infiltration, which will feed your purple->black machine. Done right the opponent doesn't get another turn. It can take a while to pull off, so it is **** in PvP. But it works well in Gauntlet/Boss Battles and is an actual viable use for Crit. Boosts. Also, it turns the game into an actual puzzle game because it is all about keeping the right colors stocked with Idle Hands. Lots of fun if you have the covers.0

I have a Kingpin with 5 purple covers, so, him, SWitch, and 4*Thor with 5 yellows active is pretty fun. Countdown tiles never have a chance.0

Here's a couple of combos I use regularly:
BD/KP/IM40: One way or another, you'll get 6 yellow to start Battery Man. You can often generate enough to cast Recharge twice in one turn. Use KP black for cleanup. Run KP at 553.
BD/4* Deadpool/IM40: Alternative to previous team with a great red outlet. Run XFDP at 553 in this team.
Cage/IF/SW: My go-to for DDQ final wave. Just accumulate purple and black for the last round. Often have 30 of both by the last wave. Cage can go 355 for better match damage mitigation.
XFDP/XFW/Doom: Doom's blue turns to XFW black. Collect purple for XFDP and go to town with Surgical Strike.
3* DP/SW: Whales, whales, whales...0 -
For Pve I love what I call Electric Sabrina - IM40, Teen Jean Grey and Scarlet Witch. It just annihilates goons and can be very effective against everything else. Pretty much used it exclusively in the last couple of events.0

*sigh*
If only my Jean had more than 3 purple covers.0 -
This team requires more luck than most of the above teams, but when it works, it's devastating and so much fun. Cyke***/Captain Marvel***/DD.
Cyke (and sometimes Cap) build red really quickly and DD throws out red trap tiles like candy. Match trap tiles early and often; usually don't wait for the enemies to match them for you, but occasionally that will work out better.
If you have to put down an enemy immediately but can't get the traps to do it, you'll likely have Cyke ready with a red and/or black blast. Cap also has her black slam and DD has blue Billy club fu for super stun fun.0 -
In regards to pairings for PvP, excluding 5 stars, here are some of my favs;
XFDP + XFW
XFDP + Thing
IM40 + 4Thor << These are probally the next fastest pairings but are awful squishy
IM40 + Ice Man<<
Switch + Rulk
Hulkbuster + Iron Fist
Hulkbuster + Jean Gray
Hulkbuster + Ice Man
Cyke + JG0
