So, that just happened

Long enough to be surprised by it, but not so much that it doesn't happen in the millions of matches played every week.
I dunno man, it's all that confusing math stuff.0 -
Against you or for you?0

For me, fortunately.
I cast aggressive recon.0 -
1 in 5.7 million, though I suspect the game gives slightly higher weight to the color that's missing. It's still got to be rather unlikely, though.0

Just now, Ares hit me with Yellow Sunder, Rag's does Green God-like Power, drops a whole 5 line of Yellow after he destroyed the middle tiles so Ares can do another Sunder on his next turn. All in all, bye bye buffed Thor.0

8 to the power of 8. 1 in 16,777,216.
You should see it happen many many times before you win the lottery. About 540 times for the simpler lotteries vs 20,000 or so for the more complex ones.
But just slightly lower than your odds of dying from being bitten by a dog in the next year.

Oops shoulda been 7 to the power of 8. 1 in 5,764,801. You can have 2 more before being fatally bitten.0 -
I remember seeing 6 of the same color in a row twice in a row.
I really think the new tile drops are weighted to be favorable in some way. It doesn't change your strategy any since both you and the computer are equally likely to benefit from this.0 -

As we have 6 colors+env, it will be 1:7^8 that's about one in 6 million.0 -
Of course, what's surprising you is the one row of all the same color angle, not purple in particular. The odds of it happening regardless of color will be somewhere around seven times higher. If we throw in other perceivable patterns that might be equally surprising, such as alternating colors, matching the row below it exactly, etc. we can drop the '1 in a x' even further.0

With modern Storm, you can have all kinds of shenanigans possible. I regret not recording the most outrageous cascades. 8 in a row/column, 10 cascades in a turn, 5 criticals in a turn, anything. One time this backfired bad on me when playing against classic Storm, I took out enemy oBW first and then A TON of cascades happened wiping out 2nd guy in the same turn I used to kill oBW, only leaving cStorm and badly hurt at that, boy did she Rage me into the ground after that.0

Oh I know - any specific pattern of 8 colours is equally unlikely - but it's still kinda cool to see an 8 tile match0
