Steam is acting up.

So, it wont connect, and only agree to run offline, and while steam is being a ****, MPQ would still run. Would this screw up my save game if i made any progress? I mean, im a bit paranoic and i know changes were made recently and there is a cloud thingy but i want to be sure that i can play with no danger whatsoever to my account. Is my save file still kept on my drive and then n*sync'ed when steam goes online again? I've spent more money than i can confess to my wife on this game and if i lose any hp or iso (or any new cover i may gain on my offline session) i'll cry.

Even if you play offline, the save data is local, so there should be no issue with your save file as it would still save onto your computer.
The only issue you might face is that it doesn't upload and sync to steamcloud so that if you play on another computer your data may not be upto date.

Weird thing is that this bit of spam came from a Comcast IP based out of California. So someone thought it was a great idea to create a zombie botnet for the purpose of spamming forums with illicit Runescape gold links. Some people have too much time on their hands.

I think their tip is "Got Gold?" Not sure how helpful that is unless you want your kitchen designed by Liberace.
