Sustainable partner for HB?

I'm looking for someone who is a good sustained climbing partner with hulkbuster. Yes, I know fistbuster is a strong combo but I'm looking for something that can climb easily with minimal health packs. It just doesn't feel good to be using overdrive all the time and chipping away at your own hp. But holding off on it sorta negates the whole point of using fistbuster.

I have him champed and sometimes play him with 3* cyc, any others though?

    Honestly for climbing the partners for HB are Fist, Cyke, and Jean. Loki and Mystique if you're in a pinch, but they're both pushing it.

    I wouldn't be averse to the Overdrives. You essentially trading 1800 HP to take out an enemy char, which is well worth it, and the tiles it spawns can mop up the rest really fast. Plus on defense your AI can turn the tables really quick using it and score you some defensive wins.

    Loki's purple can net you big red boosts after HB's blue, and his green is an alright counter, though it pales against Jean's blue.

    Mysticque can make black with her blue and stun with her purple, though it's basically a worse version of Fist. Same goes with Doom.

    KK might be an option. Her yellow could offset HB's black, and her green could pick off stragglers. Only trouble is her purple trips over HB's blue.

    Could also go with Hood, since Hood pairs with pretty much anyone.

    Proff-X too, kinda. A well-timed HB blue can trigger X's blue, and X's purple can boost the tiles from HB's black and blue.

    Also I just looked at your roster. You have a Jean covered. Level her. She's crazy go nuts good with HB.

    Use Overdrive, and don't worry about it. There are a number of times I've held out, thinking to finish in another way, and ended up losing more Hp than if I'd just used it!

    3*s: fist, hood or kk probably best partners. bullseye could use the protects from blue for his purple? cyke yellow with hb blue could make some red (like you're probably already doing).

    4*s: jean, rulk, ice, or maybe x23. antman would be interesting if you could get to black and then start double/triple dipping hb strikes with antman's purple and yellow. fury wouldn't be horrible but he'd take blue off of hb. quake if you're facing an aoe character. venom possibly (not sure, but colors work).

    easiest 4 is jean. the red(if you have enough to start the sequence)/black/green/purple/red combo has won many a game, but takes time and is not fast. ice is the most diverse with the stun addition. rulk adds a ton of health and solid damage dealer too. any of those would work really well. the rest would work ok, not great.

    Funny you should mention Venom. HB, Jean, Venom is my go-to team for the Sim and a lot of PVE stuff. Max level and covers his yellow hits for about what HB's punch does at 9 and his black practically negates defense tiles. I have no regrets maxing him out. With that said, he's far more valuable PVE than PVP, since defense tiles are rare in the current meta. In PVP I rarely will pick him over Jean to pair with HB though. Also he's a huge risk to use if you don't max his black, since he'll be powering up enemy strike tiles, which are far, far more common. At 5 black he stops that though.
