roster help question . . .

hey guys this is my first post on here. I enjoy reading and using the tips and tricks you all have to offer. I was wondering if I could get some advice on my roster. I really enjoy the game, even thou the devs have screwed me out of 4-6 heroic tokens but that's for another time and another section. Anyway my team consists of 15 characters and im day 78, so here is my roster . . .

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I am wondering who I should focus on leveleing up first. I feel as thou all my iso should go to IM40 but I really like my 2* that I have. Most tournaments I run OBW, Wolvie and Ares. If they give me a player like the hood for example I run Wolvie and OBW. Is there anyone on my roster right now I should part ways with? Thanks in advance for your help and for the record I have no open slots for covers but I am a top 50 finish away from fixing that!

You're in a situation where you need to max out those 2 stars. All you ISO should go to your top 4 characters you play with. Don't get distracted by leveling up IM40 or whatever buffed character of the moment the game is enticing you with (coughCaptainAmericacough)

I see your point. I did waste iso on capt. America but I would really like to get more covers for him because I feel he could be a major player for me down the road. Do you see any dead space on my roster that wouldn't hurt me I part ways?

Keep on leveling those characters you play the most. OBW, Ares and Wolverine are all excellent choices, you'll find yourself using them even after the transition to 3*. Your IM40 doesn't have enough covers to get the most of him, moreover, he's a utility character, mainly used as a mana feeder for some key fighters on the roster, like Spidey, GSBW etc. For now, you haven't got anyone especially fit for pairing with him.

You don't seem to have any obviously obsolete characters, but if you happen to need a free slot on your roster, dump Daredevil first. He's seriously underwhelming, and difficult to level since he's a 3*. Keep fighting for Thor covers, he could be a useful addition to your squad and a fine replacement for Ares should he get downed/injured.

He won't be. Apart from some PvE events, where he's likely to be buffed, you're not gonna choose him over any of your main characters (Ares, Thor, OBW, Wolvie, C. Storm are all better in PvP). His abilities are much too costly, and his yellow is defensive-only, which means it won't save you when you're losing - for that staggering cost you'd want something that may turn the tables, get you on top instantly.

Tricky, I'd say -- none of them are truly redundant or awful.

Marvel Now Magneto is so far behind his fellow two-stars that maybe you could give up on him. If you don't like Daredevil's trap mechanic you could opt out of developing him. Loki's abilities are specialised, but he's also someone you've developed a fair bit already. But these aren't really strong arguments to drop them.

Thanks for all the feed back guys I really appreciate it and just went ahead and took Ares to level 54, do you all find it more beneficial to level the 4 people up together or level 1 2* all the way to 85 first then follow suit with the rest. Just asking questions to help with the development. Thanks again

Not an easy question, to be honest. Generally speaking, on offense I'd prefer to have one very powerful character and use his strengths to the most, while on defense it's quite the contrary - it is much more challenging to fight a well-balanced team than a roster where just one threat stands out. It's also a matter of versatility- you're probably better off not having to depend solely on one man (or woman, or mutant ), and be prepared to fight different kind of adversaries. That said, I tend not to leave out anyone from my main squad and level them in the same pace, yet there might be players who disagree with me.

As you are leveling up you want to be mindful of how their tile damage changes. The team member with the highest tile damage represents that tile icon and takes the hit when the AI takes a turn.

You don't want a situation where your strongest character represents almost every icon on the playing field. You will be wasting a lot of health packs constantly having to heal that guy up. (Unless it's an efficient self-healer, then it doesn't matter as much)

So, I usually level up my mainline guys in pairs. Right now I'm working on maxing out GSBW and Hulk, and they share black. I want Hulk's black to always be ahead of GSBW, even though she is my primary damage dealer.

This is important. But it's not just the health pack situation. If OBW isn't the one matching blue and purple, one of her abilities becomes obsolete. Speaking of which, if you get the covers, I recommend shifting OBW to 3/5/5 (or at least 4/5/4). 4+ in Espionage gives her strike tile synergy with Wolverine.

The strike tile damage is applied to BOTH the black match damage and the additional damage it does (when at level 4 or greater).


Most people say 3/5/5 is the way to go for that reason.

With those covers im40 can't get to a lvl that's useful. 3* characters don't stand out over max 2*s until lvl 100. Until then you're better off using 2*s. OBW is awesome. 355 is best for strike synergy and early ap denial. When used with fully lvld 3*s you'll lose the double tap so 553 might be more useful but respec so whatever.

Your best team right now is prob OBW wolv ares despite none of them being built "optimally" once you have enough covers to get a 3* above 100 put the ISO there, otherwise just save it once you lvl up your core 2* team
