More Quick Battle Suggestions

Right now Quick Battle is neither Quick nor a good Battle.
They last way too long, contain way too many people per bracket, and pretty much only reward those with the time to burn for multiple hours/days/bot skills grinding out a top prize. Anyone who comes in late or sleeps has a chance to wake up to their prior day's work overshadowed by someone who shot up 500 points, making catch-up impossible.
There's no fairness. Only grind. If you're not part of the top 50, you probably drop out and do something more constructive until the next Quick Battle. Then the next time you're stuck weighing your choice between jumping in early and trying to keep up with the handful of other Super Players, or jumping in 5-8 hours prior to the event's end and hope you get into the last tier early enough to pound out a top spot. Anything else is practically not worth the effort.
I suggest the window for Quick Battle rewards be shortened. If the events were multiple-a-day battles, there would be less pressure on when to jump in. It would also allow more opportunities for more folks to get some kind of decent reward instead of just the top 10 grinders of the last couple days.
This may mean lowering the rewards somewhat so you're not giving out multiple Fat Packs or Big Boxes a day. I don't think that's necessarily a bad thing. The ultra-huge reward at the moment is pretty epic, yet extremely frustrating to the great majority of the players that don't get them. Even when you do get it (and I have a few times), I've rarely found enough cards worth upgrading my decks with to warrant the multiple hours (or days) spent grinding for that prize.
I wouldn't even mind if, say, it was a dual-prize structure. Maybe have blocks of Quick Battles that last 2-3 days each, and within each block you have both the smaller, broken-up skirmishes that last 4-8 hours (or less!) to give your players with lives some prizes to look forward to, and an overall leaderboard that tracks total ribbons earned over all the current block with a mega reward so the grinders still get their end-of-weekend cheese.
Bottom line: Please streamline Quick Battles into a more fun and frenzied format. Right now it's either get in and grind, or get in, see the 400+ribbon leader, and say 'eh maybe next time'.

I'd like to see a feature where, once you have a certain number of ribbons, you can cash out for a smaller prize and leave the bracket.
For example, if you have 50 ribbons, maybe you can cash out for your choice of an uncommon, a 3-pack or 5 crystals.
If you have 100 ribbons, maybe you can cash out for your choice of a rare, a 5-pack or 10 crystals.
After you cash out, your score in that bracket becomes zero and you can join a new bracket. Everyone who stays in the bracket who was below you now moves up a peg.0 -
I really like what EDHdad says because I'm a married carpenter and therefore very busy, so I don't have days to grind on QB and I rarely have several hours in a row to play, I believe it would be good to have a ribbon trade in system of some sort.0

Yea a ribbon reward store would be amazing. To win some events I had to grind to 1800 ribbons. This is quite frankly next to impossible to do. Maybe, for 3 days only, you can purchase this one time reward of XX for 1000 ribbons. Maybe ribbons could reset weekly to prohibit people from grinding too much. I do believe the developers really don't want that many people getting rewards. It's like if you want it you can get it, or you could pay. Problem is most people who play enough to get the rewards are the ones who pay. Another problem alltogether are the random drop rates of packs. I've gotten 1 rare and two mythics, and all 3 were repeats.0

I agree that the brackets are too large now. I've given up on the battles because I dont' have hours a day to spend on this.0

Agreed, brackets are too large. You could easily scale back the rewards a bit to allow for smaller brackets, and shortened timeframes.
I also like the ribbon idea.0 -
I've found that if you wait until the last day of QB like 12-14 hours before the event ends it is much easier to get the rare (at least top 150, top 50 frequently). Sometimes you get in a newer bracket and can top 10 without too much effort.0
