AI turns and Game effects much slower

For the past couple of weeks I've noticed that (on my Samsung Galaxy Tab S) that the game has gotten noticeably slower.

1) There is significant lag (>1 sec) in the AI taking its turn, when it used to take its turn immediately. This is most noticeable when countdown tiles activate, and then the AI still needs to take a turn. There is at least a one second lag.
2) Several powers take longer than they used to, to graphically animate.
3) Some powers have significant lag (>1sec) before they activate. Scarlet Witch's Blue power.. Arcane Incantation, for example, takes at least a second before placing a new blue countdown tile, or exploding into purple tiles.

Overall the game is MUCH slower and I'm getting frustrated waiting to take my turn.
