Spell confirmation

Why is it that certain non-targeted spells require confirmation before casting (Joraga invocation comes to mind, I know there are others) but others don't?

Very annoying to have Ugin's insight (or the Abbot of Keral Keep) fetch and power (for example) three clash of wills and cast them all simultaneously, let alone multiple copies of gruesome slaughter, which do absolutely nothing when stacked. Again, there are others, but these are the annoying ones in my current build.

Edit: bone to ash also falls under this complaint, even though it can't be fully powered by the above mechanic.

I think it's because spells like Joraga Invocation and Displacement Wave are not as "untargeted" as you'd think. The MTGPQ versions actually "target" every creature. You can see this with the way that hexproof creatures are unaffected.
