holding onto 5*

So I have 5 covers championed at 3*, and almost all of the 2* championed as well. I have a lot of 4* covers, but none high enough to really use yet, and I have a lot of 3* covers waiting to be championed when more ISO is saved up. I guess that puts me in between 3*and 4* land. That being said, I also have 2 covers of 5* characters: one phoenix, and one surfer.

Does it make sense for me to keep those 5* covers on the roster right now? I know they are making my scaling harder in every PVE event, and it has become hard for me to even sniff the legendary token because I can not grind enough when I have to use my health packs just to survive a green or yellow node.

I would feel very weird about selling my 5* covers because they are so rare and have the ability to become so powerful, but if they are seriously holding me back from progressing as fast as I should, I would at least consider selling one or both of them. And since it has now become "easier" to acquire new 5* covers than it was before, it might not hurt as bad to let them go. Any thoughts?

If you plan on playing long term, do not sell those 5* covers. The devs are aware of the scaling issue, and may implement a fix down the road.

I have 5* Cap and Iron Man with 2 covers and Phoenix at 1 and I'm considering selling them all. My final nodes are level 300+ and although I start in the top 100 and sometimes 50, it's a grind. They are somewhat useful, especially IM, but not as useful as a well covered 3*. Still, they are rare so that's the only thing keeping me back.

Base 5* are roughly the same level as boosted max level 3*. As soon as you have a decent roster of maxxed 3s, the 5* won't matter a whole lot.

If you're far from having that max 3* team available, you may want to sell the 5*, but if you're close to having the 3* roster you need, you should hang onto them for th long term.

After my three 5*'s, my next highest is 167.

my next highest is a 171, with 3 others in the 170 range... but I also run into the problem where the final node is super high, so the last 2-3 nodes of every PVE event are impossible to beat enough to warrant high rankings.
