Seed teams gone after recent update?

I do not have any seed teams in either LR or the Predator and Prey PvP. I'm wondering if you guys are experiencing the same disappearance of seed teams or if I'm alone on this one?

In regular PVP, they come and go. I can't really figure out how the game determines whether you see seed teams or not.

In LR, (generally) you need to join within the first 5-10 minutes to see them.

Maybe its just because my client reset to install the update while the tournaments were already running (playing on Steam).

Actually I'm seeing the opposite, for the first time I'm seeing the same seed team more than once in the same tourney. Maybe that is how it has always been and I've never noticed? Or maybe less people are starting lightning rounds early?

IME seed teams are closely related to MMR, you see them until enough players join the tournament in your MMR category then only those are offered. So to see more of them you need to join early and have category with less or laziest players.

This has not mirrored my experience but perhaps they fixed whatever was causing my seed teams not to disappear in this update.

Join a LR the second it starts. You should be seeing seed teams.

If you join right away you'll always see them, if there's not enough players in your MMR you'll see them for a while. I've gotten to 200+ in some LRs without seeing a player.

They can't get rid of seed teams. The first participants of a tournament will always need non player opponents when no players are competing yet.

I think you guys are misunderstanding me or I did not make myself clear. Previous to this update I would always have seed teams in my first 3 PvP nodes regardless of how far into a tournament it was. Now, after the update or because I had to restart my client, I do not have any seed teams. I understand that many of you find that you need to join early to find seed teams but that was not my experience previous to this update.

If you open the event screen the same minute it starts, you will have seed teams, and those will hold over until you actually start.

however for me, if I open the LR event screen 2 minutes in, i see all lvl 200+ teams.

Opening the screen in the first minute is important if you want the free wins.

Your MMR is too high, this happened to me after I placed really high in a tournament, followed by really high in a C. Mags LR, I joined the next one instantly, and all I got were high lvl teams, it took me a couple LR's of tanking, but got my MMR back to where I saw the seed teams again.

That all can be simply explained by your stepping to a different MMR bracket.

The initial nodes are filled when you enter the screen the first time.

And it's perfectly normal if you never see them. They only sit around as fillers when nothing is there to offer.

As others have said, not seeing seeds is pretty typical. You've either been loading shortly after events start (actually playing not necessarily, just opening the event screen does it) or have had a large window without player matches.
