  • Alright, bought the last spot in the alliance and found a player to fill it. He will buy slot 21 when the time comes.

GodLike is now officially full. Let the games begin.

    Awsome news man icon_e_biggrin.gif

    ONWARDS!!
  • Finished first round with 26,000+ points. Looks like progression awards are as achievable as they are undesirable.

It is nice to have all of this free ISO.
  • Blew through hard mode this morning...Currently at just under 28,000 points waiting for the points to increase in the "non-hard mode"

Also loving all the ISO... I believe I have gained more ISO than I have simulator points! icon_e_biggrin.gif
  • I'm at around 48,000 total points but hard mode is starting to become very difficult. Died quite a few times just now.
  • Brutal grind at the end of that round... Battles were a little tougher and a LOT longer

Finished with 55,995 points, first at the moment overall, third place finish in normal mode icon_e_sad.gif and second in hard mode...
  • Placed top 2 in both subs. Was pretty close in the easy sub.

    54000+ total, 4th in main.

Hope everyone else did alright in their subs.

Wow, nice job there. I'm sitting at 55,326 at 5th place, my main #1 got 58,313 with almost 2k lead on #2, not sure how he did it.

On another note, is anyone going for the hood covers for the lone star skimish pvp event? I'm asking because there's alliance rewards for yellow hood so unless anyone wants that yellow hood, I will most likely be tanking this pvp event since I already got him 5/5/3.
  • Seems much more competitive than the other simulator event, the grind towards the end of was painfully boring.
I'm top 4 in my main sub with 54000+, I'm planning to avoid the lone star event, unless someone is desperate for Hood covers, in which case I'm willing to help out.
  • Not desperate for hood at all... I am sitting on four yellow covers, but I don't think that one less AP is worth a second grind like the simulator is demanding
  • somewhat neglected the pve that round i'm afraid, only got 35k points or so as I was going after my last x force cover in no holds barred
I managed to get #1 so now my x force wolvie is complete
all I need now is IW blue but I need 3 of them lol
    but she's not as important
  • This morning was like Christmas, over 10k ISO and over 300 HP from all the reward popups icon_e_wink.gif Unfortunately nothing good from all the tokens.

Don't care for the yellow alliance Hood, but still need blue ones. It's just that the 1 star tourneys are such a pain in the ****, I'd rather just do LRs. Guess I see if I can get an easy bracket and sneak up in the top 10.

You've got a reasonably competitive roster for villain Lightning Rounds. You should be able to hop into the top 25 of Hood LRs if you put a bit of ISO into him. Magneto will basically be one-shotting people while Spidey stuns. Four blue covers in one LR sequence is not unheard of.

Lightning rounds are going to be your bread and butter for quickly building up your ISO stashes. They are more generous than they used to be in events but building up a core team for hero and villain lightening rounds will greatly pay off in the long run.

These are subjective but I would rank the villains in order of who to level up. Mags>Hood>Doom>Rags>Loki

For Heroes it's a little more up to your play style and team build. Personally Punisher is a blast to play with and leveled up patch is awesome. PM if you have any questions!
  • I haven't done lightning rounds with any consistency in a long time, not since the shields were introduced, I have all villains except Mags cover maxed (don't care about the last red Rag), Kiamodo, have you got any advice for tanking, shielding etc, how many rounds should I tank before aiming for top 25, when to shield etc.
I used to do well in lightning rounds, but when I went in with my old strategy and minimal tanking, it was brutal, I kept getting hit for -70 every match past 250.

Hoanestly I never have to tank. I play rounds till I get to 100 then stop most of the time. Don't have a lot of time to play but you can win an easy 1000 ISO a round if you just shoot for a little over 100. I think they fixed tanking for the most part.
  • I thought that was the case, but the last Mags round I took seriously was impossible, I got to 250+ and was getting hit for -70 every minute or two (my mmr must be crazy high I only see completely maxed teams), didn't even make top 50, I didn't think shielding at 250 would do me any good. Any advice would be appreciated, I remember lightning rounds being much easier, I used to enter them at the 45 minute mark and get top 25 or sometimes top 50 without trying very hard.

Here is what I did to get my covers in Lighting rounds.

Get to 100 points then tank + retreat till super low rating. Do for the 2 or 3 rounds in a row before the round I wanted to place well in.

Your MMR seems a little bit high so may take more then 3 rounds of tanking to lower it to kicksthatkick level.

The one round I wanted place well in, I play right at the start to get as many seed teams in, get to like ~250 or so. Take a break.

You need to be at a rating where you team isn't worth the points, so you don't really get hit during this break. Helps to have a tank like rag or hulk on team, low MMR helps a lot too.

Wait till last 20-40 mins or so. Varies depending on your kill speed, current top 10 score, the players in the top 10, and current MMR.

Grind the end till you get to top 8+. If aiming only for top 8 you can shield the last 5-15 mins if you build a decent buffer, for top 2, you probably can't shield early unless you build large lead.

LR are easier in non-prime time hours, and/or when other events are ending around the same time.

Tanking still exists, but little harder to do and less effective ever since the streak bonus was added. People no longer skip till they find a tank team to fight.

    Hopefully this helps you out.
  • Great advice, I never considered taking a break in the middle of the round, I hope the Mags rounds will fit with my schedule, I only need 2 more of his covers, don't even care what they are at this point.

Yeah, guess my post came off a little confusing. Thats what I meant. Unless I get a super easy lonestar bracket I'd rather just get my hood covers in LRs. Because grinding away with the *stars is really annoying.
