Nick Fury graphic update?

Is it just me, or is he looking different?

I mean, he's still got the ruggedly unshaven face, the eye patch and all that jazz, but i don't remember his picture being like that.

    Yep he got one. Seems graphics overall got upgraded. Unfortunately now my game lags after every match

    I still prefer classic Nick Fury -- it's who I grew up with. It's interesting that they chose to portray him as the "Ultimate"/Movie version. To my knowledge, Dark Reign is a cross-over event in the regular Marvel Universe and doesn't involve the Ultimates. (I'm sure I'll be corrected on this if I'm wrong though)

    ...there a noticeable lack of diversity in the Marvel Universe though. Maybe they will add Northstar later. icon_cool.gif

    This is Nick Fury Jr., not Nick Fury Sr. Two different characters.

    Nick Fury Jr. is very obviously based on Ultimate Nick Fury. He also has his own Coulson.

    But Nick Fury Jr didn't come into being until after Fear Itself. He didn't know anything about SHIELD during Dark Reign.

    When it comes down to it, since the movies chose to go with the Ultimate Marvel appearance for Nick Fury, and were wildly successful, eventually it just makes more financial sense to use that image in most mainstream licensed products and comics intended for new readers. Thus you get Nick Fury Jr.

    Imagine how many threads there would be asking why Nick Fury is white if they had used the "classic" Nick Fury look.
