difficulty/penalty for new players *Please help!*

Hello,

After navigating the forums, I found out why I'm having such a hard time in Story mode. I guess I'm being penalized for spending a legendary token and being lucky (unlucky?) enough to get an Old Man Logan Wolverine cover. He's awesome and can't wait to get more of those, but it has a really bad impact of scaling up my Story mode fights to the point I cannot beat the final node in the ISO brotherhood missions. I have my OML with one ability and my next two best guys are mid 90's 2*'s that I just championed after recently learning about that mechanic (ugh, sold so many covers that I should have saved for champion levels because I didn't know about that!). Verses the AI which is 3 guys around level 175 each.

Do I trash my 5* to remove the issue? From what I've seen though, this guy is really rare and one of the most sought after covers. Is there anything going on right now that will fix the scaling I am dealing with so I won't need to sell OML and just be patient for the patch/fix? At this point, I'd rather stop playing than trash something so valuable.

    That's a tough one. They said something about "fixing" the issue so that players wouldn't be penalized for drawing 5* characters, but that was months ago and they haven't said anything about it since (that I know of).

    I would wait and try to make it work with OML, but I don't have any good answer for you. What color is the OML cover?

    dang, months ago huh? Sounds like if the fix doesn't happen really soon, it's not going to happen. I pulled the Black cover for OML. If a fight goes on long enough, I can transform and drop massive nukes. Mostly, I use him as a meat shield with all of those hit points, and for his base match damage on black/yellow/red.

    I'm really torn here.. LOVE the game and it feeds my collect-them-all neurosis. So being required to toss a rare card just to progress, the thought fries my brain.

    C'MON game developers, pleeeease do something to address this!

    They're working that fix into the new PVE. It's supposedly going to look at the number of covers you have of a character in addition to their level. They already enabled this roster scaling method in PVP, and it should be part of the new PVE whenever they decide to go live with it.

    That's right, I forgot about that. Definitely don't do anything until you play in another "test" pve with it to see how the enemy levels are.

    I tried PvP earlier this week, and I was still getting matched against teams with 3* champs and a high 4* or 5*. Nothing I can compete with, but that could be because there aren't many players early in the progression like me participating in PvP.

    Thanks for the updates on something coming soon for PvE! I'll trudge along in the 100-200 reward brackets on average for now. It sucks because prior to getting OML, I ranked 1st in one Story campaign, and routinely in the top 20 for weeks.
