Playing Psylocke versus.
Select a match versus a default psylocke, 240ish Vision, and a 170ish Cage for 40something points.

Not worried about boosts or team ups only speed so I jam the math start button

Match begins with enemy team filing in.
Psylocke, XPool, and X-wolv.
1 countdown for what and a surgical strike later and my team is wrecked.

My question is where the tiny kitty are cage and vision?!?!

I know what match I chose. So why the switch.

And as icing for the cake I lost an extra 100 points while in that shenanigans of a match

Other people have described a bug where if you get attacked between selecting an opponent and entering the match, the other team can be replaced with the attacker's retaliation node. That sounds like what happened to you.
