x23 vs kp

ok. I have a choice to make. lots of variables involved. have iso for either x23 or kp. 3 kp covers in queue (2 are purple, 1 expires in 24 hrs). 1 x23 cover in queue.

Maxing X23 points:
I think x23 has more value long-term. healing goes a long ways, especially in pve. 2 of kp's covers are purple, which could be used for some bonus iso. she plays really well with OML, although I don't have his yellow yet. planning on pulling my cp next week - should be about 80 pulls on classics. if I knew yellow was coming, this decision would be really easy.

Maxing kp points:
3 covers in queue. good color coverage with boosted thing this week. unique color combo compared to the red/blue and purple/green characters. means he fits uniquely into teams but also there's no 'natural' set of characters to pair him with.

both have weekly boosts coming up in the next few weeks. just looking at upcoming pvp: psylocke, daken, doom. kp rainbows with psylocke (not that it matters much) and doom could feed him black. x23 plays well with daken, which follows psylocke (but doesn't play as well with doom, but I have options there). I'm feeling some burnout setting in and plan on pulling back from pve some after cw2, so it might be some time before I get around to the one I don't do here. these are the next 2 on my list unless I get 2 more nova yellows soon (he's 5/1/5, but lower level).

Wow, tough call. Speaking as someone with neither of those characters maxed (but are usable in PVE when boosted), my gut says go with X-23 for the long term gain. True healing can't be ignored as a major advantage for extended play time. As you said, she pairs very well with OML who I'm hoping you will eventually get yellow for (I would love a yellow there too), but even without, I can see X-23 being very useful in both PVE and PVP. When she's boosted, her Tracking Prey and strike tiles are deadly.

I really enjoy Kingpin, but if I personally had to pick between the two, I'd choose X-23.

That is a tough call. I do have a champed Kingpin, and while I like him and he's fun, I don't use him as much as my other three 4* champs. A good combo team for him is with Red Hulk and S. Witch though, as he can always take advantage of her countdown tile for a quick Black attack. I've got him at 5/3/5, but I've actually be considering 5/5/3 since its rare that all his countdowns go off normally, better to get a few out and quickly Black them for some nice damage. The only drawback is then his Purple conflicts with most other 4*'s who depend on Purple.

And that's the only issue I see with X-23. Her healing is great, but other than that, she relies on Green and Purple, which again blocks her from being effective with top 4 *'s like JG, Iceman and Red Hulk. She could pare nicely with Cyclops though, maybe even tanking for his Red. (Both are too low for me to judge right now.) Ditto for your Xpool, since you have him at 5/5/3, his Purple doesn't seem to be a priority for you anyway. And as previously noted, she does work well with OML (I've run a "OML and his Punk Kids" team when grinding trivial teams and they're a fun family.)

So yeah, probably X-23. Though it looks like you may end up like me, where the game just keeps giving you KP covers until you get fed up with selling them and knuckle down for for the champ grind.

I maxed Kingpin many months ago and haven't regretted it - he's very effective when boosted. I maxed X23 a while ago too but haven't really found much use for her since.

If your gonna be pulling a load of classic legendary why not wait till then and make decision when you see what u get

had expiring covers. I went with x23. with double iso week I may end up with enough between pve and LRs and opening tokens to do another. will be kp if I don't get either an OML yellow or 2 nova yellows.

thanks for the input. i'll take her out for a spin today in daken's pvp during some soft-climbing.
