I am currently picking a time slot for the latest pve and I know because it's a 7 day event work is going to get in the way with my normal choice of slot.

So what I would like to know is what do you do when your busy on the 8 hour refresh time or what do you do if you miss a refresh time?.

if you have a known conflict and have the time to hit the nodes twice on the clear prior to your conflict, it will give you a 16 hour window (as long as your conflict isn't at sub end, that works).

What if your conflict is at the beginning of a sub and you won't be able to hit it for a few hours?

I guess just do what you can when you can get to it. its highly variable between slices/brackets, but doing a clear a couple hours late once or twice shouldn't kill your t100 chances if you're able to grind reasonably (highly subjective term). t20 would be pretty hard and t10 on a release would be nearly impossible missing several hours. but like I said, it is highly variable between brackets.

personally, I've found the most effective thing is catching a fresh bracket on day 1 in a slice that generally requires less perfection. I play slice 5 but I don't stay up for the flip. I grind, go to sleep, start the next sub in the morning. I miss basically one full clear per sub and usually finish 15th to 40th. not sure what you're goals are, but my experience is stay away from slice 4 unless you can play nearly perfect. not sure on any of the others. the 2nd and 3rd brackets of slice 5 are pretty laid back.

Refreshes for me are usually 2 during the day and one over night. Most of the time I can get by with just allowing my overnight clear to be late and do it when I wake up.

I make t10 in nearly all pve events I enter. The only exception is for new releases which generally I'll place a little lower due to my sub optimal play (currently 30th but I'll end up t20)

People say hit it twice in succession if you know you wont clear on time but I prefer. To just do it late instead.

That's my strategy. Hope it helps
