Not Receiving Rewards Shared With Me Through Facebook

Hello all,

About two months ago, I convinced a co-worker to play with me so that I have someone to share rewards with and vice versa. As of this moment, I have over 20 'requests' in my Facebook account to share various rewards with me, and clicking 'accept' does not let me use said rewards. Another thing of note is that out of all these requests, I have actually received 4 or 5 of the shared rewards, but there appears to be no rhyme or reason as to why I received those and not the other ones. My question is, is this working as intended, where you only receive 1 out of every 4 shared rewards, or is there something that I'm not doing that would allow me to receive the rest of the bounty?

I play on an Android device, and I have the option to sync data with Facebook turned on.
