Kudos on a great event. Is there anyway you could set up a voting session prior to the next event for alliance members to vote on which team they want to play and then only allow alliance members to play just the event chosen instead of allowing players to pay both events in the safe alliance and flip flop. ..

  • Broke two of my expectations:

    1. The Anti-Santa.

Effort to rewards seemed very low for an event. Why not be more free with the tokens and ISO?

    2. Who's the Boss?

The required character battles were just plain too tough. I lost to Iron Man once, but was unable to beat the multi-level games for Hawkeye and the Thing.

I had a ton of fun playing the Galactus events., Civil War, not so much.

No to mention the entry mission difficulty jump was ridiculous, they went from level 60 one round to level 260 the next

    Kudos on a great event.

This event was anything but great.
The scaling cockup made it an epic, unplayable failure of a magnitude only matched by the first Galactus event.

I am sure there are a lot of small alliances of 3-5 people that are just friends and family that play. Is there anyway to scale these boss type events to accommodate smaller alliances? I mean it already locks you in your alliance when you start correct? So why not do something like if alliance >6 max points per node needed capped at Y. Where Y is a proportionally scaled down percentage of what a 20 person alliance would need.

how easy should it have been for the 6 4* covers and the 2 5* covers? I thought the difficulty was appropriate for the rewards given (hb/iso notwithstanding). when they offer 5* covers and multiple 4* covers, you have to understand the scaling will get difficult, even very difficult.

...and this was WAY more playable that G1.

I enjoyed the event and just wanted to take the time to pass along some recognition and appreciation to those involved. Maybe I benefited to much from starting on Friday, having a developed enough roster (several max 3*s), and keeping expectations low, but I'm looking forward to the second run.

    1) An interesting boss fight: I thought the boss fight against Iron Man was well designed. I only fought against Cap twice in the end, so I can't speak as much for that.

    2) Interesting side fights: My standards here are probably low - as in, anyone but the Dark Avengers. Fighting against some accessibly low-level 4-5*s that I don't otherwise see much of was an unexpected novelty though.

In terms of rewards, I just stuck with a seemingly casual alliance and thought "Surely we can get a few rounds worth of event tokens," and we actually finished a few rounds higher.

The scaling jump that the general forum made lots of posts about did raise my eyebrow at the time, even before I looked at the forum. There's probably improvements to be made there, or at least some warnings that could be given. I noticed that at least the point rewards for the side nodes were increasing at the same time.

No. The setup was great. Missing a required character on one side meant being able to use the other to unlock the boss battle. And for members who are primarily 2 star, transitioning to 3 star, being able to switch focus in stage six is fantastic. Like many people, I wasn't a fan of the scaling jump though. Failing to get through sub missions sucked hard when it was supposed to be the boss that was the real challenge.

I agree the individual battles were rough and to hard to defeat.

If they did something like this I suspect many larger Alliances would just form temporary small Alliances for Civil War.

I think it was great event. Yes, it was very hard, but even with my limited roster(0 maxed *** and only one cover for 46 mark iron man), i was still able to get max progression.

The difficulty was in the wrong place for this event, the boss fights or the point totals are what should have ramped up in the second side of this event, not the nodes which don't give many points or rewards.

If they had ramped things up in this way then when somebody with a weaker roster hit a wall on one side of the event and couldn't get any more rewards they could then give up and go get some rewards from the other, unlike in this event where the constant increasing on both sides means that once somebody hits a wall on one side they are done.
