2-3* transition ATM but 4*s are messing me up.

Hey all, so really, i shouldnt be complaining but my luck this last week has been insane for pulls.

Ive managed to get 4 4*s from Heroic pulls, 1 4* from a standard pack and 3 of the most recent vaults ive pulled the 4* cover with my first pulls. (Hulk/Deadpool/Civil war)

https://mpq.gamependium.com/rosters/Wheresmyspacebar/

So, as you can see from my roster, ive got a good squad of 2* heroes now and im slowly building up some decent 3*s (Nowhere near enough yet though) but im worried about 4*s.

Namely, should i be worried about rostering ANY of them as i know the 3* transition takes ageeeeeeeeees.
So, i should explain briefly, i keep getting 4*s and sell some of my 3*s to roster them because i get worried that i will never get another 4* again which is dumb.

So, currently, waiting to roster i have these 4* covers.
Drax, Nick Fury, X-23, Iceman, Miles, Sam Wilson (2 covers for him plus my alliance should get a load for the civil war event), Howard the duck and Invisible Woman.

I know that Invisible Woman and Howard are very situational and im probably going to straight sell them but for the others, should i be rostering any of them just to save the 1 cover i have for them?

Are there any 4*s that i should 100% roster even if its only one cover?
ATM im finding that im running out of spots for 3*s and i end up selling 3*s with multiple covers to roster other 3*s and i feel like im stalling out. (for example, i have 4 covers for SWitch but i know ive sold at least 3-4 covers for her just to make room for others)

Should i just sell my Quake/Nova/Jean that i have currently in 4* and just focus on the 3*s constantly until i have at least 5-6 championed?
I know when i was just starting, the 3 cover nova basically carried my through a lot but now i have a load of championed 2*s ive not used him in weeks.

optional 3*s that I would feel comfortable replacing with superior characters include gamora, quicksilver, doc ock, beast and daredevil. I would 100% roster ice and I recommend rostering x23 (and keeping your current 4*s). the other 4s in your queue are non-critical and could be sold at this point (but might be regretted later). this is the point in the game you have to decide how you want to play the long-term game. if you want to get to a higher level of play, basically rostering all the characters is nearly required, which means spending money is basically required. 3* transition takes some time, but ddq and reasonable placements will speed through that lightning fast compared to the 4* transition that comes later. once you get to where you care about the 4*s, if you've sold a bunch, you'll look back and really regret it. if spending a little is not an option, sell beast and daredevil and roster ice and x23. and you might want to consult one of the many rankings on the forum for any future decisions on who to sell/roster. the forum-voted rankings are here

that should help a ton. there are also several guides that you should read through in the main tips/guides section. just don't sell any more witch icon_e_wink.gif
  • Thanks for your reply.

So, the reason i have Beast rostered ATM is because he had 4h left and the DDQ for him is coming up in the next week. Once he is done, im planning to sell him off and roster my closest 4* to stop it vanishing.

Same with Daredevil. Im also 50 away from another roster slot, so got that coming up.

I dont really want to sell my 3*s atm that i have more than 5 covers in, just because im so invested in them and ATM theres no one to really take their spots.

Usually i do follow the rankings and kind of decide from that icon_razz.gif
Switch was like mid-bottom in the last ranking which is why i sold her originally haha.

Okay, i'll roster Ice and x23 before they run out at some point.
Im using 3* falcon quite a bit atm.
Is 4* Wilson going to be used at all do you think? Ive got 6 covers for him now just waiting icon_razz.gif

Also, sell/keep quake? Ive heard she isnt amazing.

I have a much higher opinion of switch than that. she's not great as a damage dealer, but your damage dealers need support characters and she's the best there is for feeding purple and some very good characters key off of purple (fist, kk, gsbw, etc). as far as supports go I rank them im40, hood, switch, loki - and all are good characters. some rank switch ahead of hood too.

good plan with dd and beast. 3* falcon is really important in pve. really **** in pvp because the things he does can be worked around with team composition, but his blue overwriting cds is very useful in pve.

as far as 4* sam Wilson, I don't see myself ever maxing him. if you can successfully get the ap for the yellow/red combo, it is very strong, but it takes so much ap that getting it off once in a match is a pretty good feat. to me he's just too slow to be useful for anything other than his ddq day (once every ~5 months?) and pve essentials. I have him rostered and covered at level 145. he's nowhere on my radar screen to max. he's probably in the bottom 5-10 of the 4* characters. he does some neat things with cds when covered (blue matches reduce cds) but not enough to be useful.

I have a higher opinion of quake but don't really have her covered yet. once covered, her passive will basically negate most all aoe damage from the 3* aoe bunch (kk, panther, etc). along with that she has a respectable aoe of her own and a good board shake and also a color removal ability. I only have her at -/2/2 but I think she's somewhere above the middle of the pack. behind the top tier (ice, jean, hb, cyke, rulk) and maybe behind the second tier (px, xpool, 4thor, x23, thing, kp, nova), but might be in that second tier once she gets better covered and people play with her more. in my head right now she's around the xfw, thing level, which is still pretty good.
