Roster Advice needed. 3-4* transition.

I'm very early in the 3-4* transition and have a few 3*'s almost fully covered and need some advice on what to focus on next.

I've been trying to max 3* Captain Marvel to champ her but the cover expired and I'm not sure I should keep leveling her. (150 now).

I have a ton of 4* with one or two covers so I'm a ways off from having a usable 4* at this point. No 5* yet.

continue grabbing iso and covers whenever you can. all of your level 40 guys should eventually be taken to at least 120 (that's pretty cheap), but doesn't necessarily have to happen immediately. past that, it depends on where you are when you get to that decision. witch, fist and cage should be priorities for your group at 40. any events that reward them should get a little extra attention from you. additionally I don't see im40 on your roster. you'll end up using him longer and more often than any other character in the long-term (probably - unless you stumble into a functional OML quickly). not sure if you're stockpiling LTs/CP, I would for now if I were you - 5s only complicate things and your 4s aren't close enough for a few covers to matter yet. then around the second running of civil war, make a judgment call then on pulling LTs.

other characters that were useful enough for me to max include torch, thor, daken. other useful characters that I'd like to max but can't since my iso goes to 4*s include doom, grocket, and bullseye.

cage, fist, witch, and im40 are must-max guys. after that, it really depends on how you're performing and how your 4*s are coming along. questions for then include are you hitting 1K? hitting pve cp progression? if you are doing that, you might want to hold off on the non-top-tier guys, since that iso will be better utilized on your 4*s, but that's down the road some.

Thanks. I ended up getting 3 IM40 covers by placing in the top 5 in PVP.
After that I took Doom, Daken, and 3* Thor to 120.

Right now I'm kind of stuck. Thor is really good, should I stop working on my other decently covered 3 stars and work on maxing him? He's 12/13 now and I have 40 CP. Next Sunday DPD gives out a Green cover for him so if I use the CP to make him 13/13 I can use the Green to respec him to the optimal 3/5/5 (right now he's 4/3/4 I believe).

My 3* that are decently covered but still 40 (at least 10) are Beast, BW, Spiderman, and Hulk.

i don't recommend spending cp on 3*s. thor would be a good iso-investment with your current maxed guys. he's solid. not great like he used to be, but solid. did you finish marvel? I'd do that too and it wouldn't hurt to bring gsbw up some. you're way past affecting scaling, so bringing those guys up won't be hurting anything (unless there's a week where they're boosted and none of your others are). hulk is another that is worth leveling. not a big fan of beast, but he's not 'bad' either. also not a big fan of spidey - or any characters with 0 offensive abilities (falcon at least buffs and overwrites). protects, stun and heal are only worth so much (to me).

Marvel's still at 150. I should probably just max her since she's so close. Shes's awesome teamed up with 3* Steve.

Don't spend CP on 3*? That makes sense, I was just impatient since I was so close to max covers for Thor.

Guess my gameplan for now is to max Carol, bring Widow up to 120 and wait for the last Thor cover next week and work on maxing/champing him.

i'll clarify on the cp on 3*s - IF it will drastically change your ability/performance, then yes, I'd do 1 cover or so. that first maxed character of fist or kk or cyke would make a real big difference. but, where you are, finishing thor is nice, but isn't game-changing. if you're going to spend cp on something, it should be game-changing or saved for LTs

You don't need an extra cover to respec if you champion a character. As soon as you make Thor a champion you can respec for free at will. Don't spend CP to adjust a 3*'s powers when you can do it with ISO.
