Lvl 111, 5/1/2
Second try. First attempt he collected all the red somehow.
Got a very nice0 -
Started at 3/1/2 lvl 70. Then 90. Then 110. Fianlly, at 120 was able to do it with +2 all, +2 B/G and +50% R/Y.
Hoarding my LTs.0 -
5/1/5 level 94. First try. Token stockpiled. Was around 1k health at the end. He never got red. He did get yellow off once but not many yellow on the board so wasn't too bad.0
-
Man, seeing the opponent makes me really wish I had more than 1 Nova cover.0
-
I tried 10 times with 1/0/2 Nova but couldn't quite do it. I got him under 1k once. It seemed worthwhile to keep the strikes on the board instead of using the nuke right away.0
-
Got it on my second try with my 140 2/3/3 Nova. Used all 3 50% damage boosts. Built up enough red to place strikes and then send him airborne to start controlling the board. Finished him off with the black nuke. LT banked.0
-
4/1/3 lvl 127 with +R/Y, +100%R/Y dmg, +125% crit. Done on my first try. Just focused on blocking red, then, yellow. He never fired a power and I had most of my health left.0
-
Went in with a lvl 94 1/1/2 Nova as a joke since he was so lowly covered.
Boosted just 1 +AP All, Crit boosts (yes crit boosts), and Y/R Power Boost.
I won....
Got a 5* Jean Purple. Pretty happy about that. (She's 0/3/1 now)0 -
3/1/1 first try. Denied/collected red and yellow. Kept him airborne whenever he was a threat. Forgot that I can't damage him when he's airborne so I wasted one use of yellow. Never even considered trying to pull off black for damage.
Falcap blue with the token... the one color I didn't need.0 -
I was able to knock it out with my 131 Nova @ 1/2/3. Even got it on video.

Is there a list of who's gonna be next for the 5* battles?0 -
Took him down to 2k with a 2/0/0 Nova. So close.0
-
ugh! 4/0/2 Nova at 70. I got him down to 252 health on my first try. And should have won (I used a black match 5 that ate up two strike tiles before casting black on my last turn. If I had done those in the opposite order I would have won).
Now I am just waiting for nova to heal up and try again.
Seems like anyone with enough covers to get out decent strike tiles and at least 1 red cover should be able to win this fight.
Edit: tried a few more times at 70 just for fun, but never got that close again.
Got frustrated and leveled him to 110. Won on the next attempt. (and since nova seems very good I don't mind the iso at all).0 -

Wow, I don't know how feasible it is for you to beat him, but my Nova was 2/1/1 and I managed to win!Cousin Simpson wrote:Vhailorx wrote:I think anyone with at least 1 red cover and enough other covers to get some decent strike tiles on the board has a shot.
Yup! 2/1/1 at level 94. I needed 4-5 attempts, with +2 all, +2 red/yellow, +100% all match damage (down to 80% in my clinching game).
I couldn't be too conservative about sending Flappy airborne -- whenever the board presented multiple matches in his colors and I had the red AP, I kicked him up, and I was able to gather enough black to multi-cast it and chip away at his health -- I was surprised to see when I had Flappy on the ropes with a couple thousand health left!
Pulled another Fury, which means he's the next to be championed.0 -

Well, it would be gwen, then quake, then punisher, the drax as far as release order, right? I would guess they will skip drax and maybe punisher. Quake Seems like an outside shot. Hit it flips back to the beginning though, I could use some more LTs before Phoenix leaves the pool.0 -
Did what I could with a L70 1/1/1 Nova, but after eight tries I couldn't get boss under 6k. Couldn't keep him airborne long enough, couldn't do enough damage to stop him from eventually getting WoL off.
This will probably be the status quo for me as long as the new characters get inserted into the rotation. 2/1/0 Spider-Gwen, 0/2/1 Quake, 2/0/1 Punisher, 1/0/0 Drax, etc. Hopefully cycle 3 starts soon.0 -
2/0/2 Lvl 104 first try with damage boosts. Denied Yellow and Red and got enough black and yellow myself to just nuke him at the end. Probably lucky tho.0

Nova was 2/2/1 lvl 111. I think it took me 3 attempts. The first was a vanilla attempt that didn't go so well. It was a yellow friendly board, so I was doing 1 damage pretty soon into the match. Second time, I went in with +2 R/Y AP, +100% All Colors damage, +50% R/Y. This time, it was a red heavy board, which would've worked to my advantage if I knew that red would become the airborne skill if I used black first. I learned this too late and ate a Dive Bomb with a board full of yellow protects. Got it on my third boosted try. Phoenix purple, putting her at 3/3/1.0
