Low level teams getting really high scores in pvp

Hey all I have been away for a while and started playing again. But today I have notice something in my eyes that should not be happening.
I was in the top 5 and decided to look at the team of the other players around me only to see that they had barley any covers above level 100 not only that but I have been knocked out of the top 5 now by 2 more players with covers at level 66 not even fully loaded. Why and how is this happening.
Is there cheating involved or something else

    being away for so long may have put you down in the beginner brackets. or the weaker teams climbed early to get their points before the slice filled in with stronger players. or even some combination thereof.

    if you find loaner teams from players with very high scores, that's just them feeding points to the slice. most players don't hit those until they've had time to shield. they're doing you a favor. if the actual roster is low-level, its probably something like I guessed previously.
