Wow this game is predictable

Cast a world rupture team up and what do you know, like in many other circumstances my only move the turn before world rupture goes off is to match out both my strike tiles. I have lost count the number of times this conveniatly happens for the AI. Yes I know what confirmation bias is but this happens way too often to be coincidence.

And yet at the end of the day, it's just a coincidence no matter what you might think.

I think the lesson here is not to use the Sentry. He has been completely unusable since the nerf and there's no reason to use him apart from essential nodes.

With all 3 of his powers doing self damage as well, he is completely worthless.
Of course the self damage means nothing to the AI. He feels like the biggest troll character design wise from the devs there is. Well, Carnage is worse in this regard.
He's the only 3 star I haven't championed out of choice.

OP needs to read this wiki, but they won't.

Carnage is great with oml! No one wants to fight me in pvp when I use those.

Sentry on the other hand is pretty bad. For me, all 3*s are useless in pvp. But some are still fun to play and then not heal in pve.

I actually find that the game appears far more likely to match away its own goon countdowns if I'm running Doc Ock. Which is still helpful, but in the most passive-aggressive way possible.

Some times the game throws you a curve ball, just bought the 100 HP heroic and got Blue Prof X, then I bought the 100 HP vault token for PVE and got the yellow Prof X. Sometimes you just have to post out of frustration even if you know random doesn't actually mean random.

I remember when Carnage's moves were announced I called him out as a purely defensive character designed to screw you over in PvE nodes. His use benefits the AI primarily. Sure you can use him yourself, but you'll need health packs at the end.

I felt the same way during last week's Garbage Hulk Clash of the Titans. 4 consecutive matches, i accumulated 30 black AP while looking at a board that was 7+blue and less than five green tiles.

That right there is suitable for framing icon_lol.gificon_lol.gificon_lol.gificon_lol.gificon_lol.gif

It's like when everyone calls me a contrarian. I'm not!

I had a match recently where I really needed red but the AI kept matching it. Doesn't sound weird by itself, but they had no characters with a red cover & there were multiple matches they could have made in a color they had. Did they change the AI's match finding routines & not tell us?

Did they have a red passive or a goon with a red power? Those count, too.

I think they have improved ai. It sometimes knows how to save up powers to use later or all at once. For instance the venom symbiotic stare is used very effectively by the AI. I guess that power is totally cheap and can be spammed though.

I know one thing is for sure and it isn't confirmation bias... The game is not completely random or based purely on RNG mechanics. The amount of times certain coincidences happen is crazy compared to before. A year ago, I remember how boring some of the matches were. You could have 10 fights and would not have a single crazy cascade. Currently, I don't think you can have more than 2 fights and not experience some kinda crazy 3-5 cascade. It is still random, but the randomness is skewed in favor of a quick fast game. Also the randomness is an advantage for both AI and players alike. AI does not have a bigger advantage.

Here's my reasoning why the randomness has changed to favor crazy cascades. It's all about motivation
1.) The game is more fun when matches are short and crazy things happen. It is boring to match a three then another, and then fire some stupid power, then wait to match again.
2.) Makes people either lose quickly or win very fast. This encourages people to spend. You lose and you try again with health packs. You win, and you take the leaderboards by storm. Thus forcing the leaders to spend and fight more fights to keep you behind. As long as they give out the same amount of rewards than before, they win out on this. Thus why the progression awards keep going up because the fights can be won quicker if you are lucky.

I can't count how many times I was able to match a goon tile when it could have done massive damage on the next turn. And I knew there was no way to match it, but somehow the random tiles fell in my favor. Also same with ai, I can't count how many times they were able to match my cap red countdown tile even though I placed it smack in the corner with no red nearby. It's almost like countdown tiles and ability count down tiles get a higher chance of being matched or cleared away. This goes for both ai and player. I think this is done to keep the player on it's toes.

It's not a problem with this new random change, just that they should tell us if this is the case. And also this has made this game more luck than skill. There is no way you can play for a crazy cascade but it does instill the fear of the next turn, so you try to finish as quickly as possible to avoid damage.

Nope. It was DA/HAMMER. No Ares, Ragnarok, Sentry, or Analyst.
