New Civil War Characters And Events

So as most of you know Captain America Civil War is MCUs biggest release this year. Thanks to Forbes.com we can confirm details about the additions coming to marvel games in correlation to Civil War. In the article Rob mentions great detail to Black Panther, War Machine and Falcon. As many of you know there is already a 3* Black Panther in the game and multiple Falcons. That leaves us with War Machine. I want to know how many stars you think he will be and how you think he is obtainable.

I feel like it's a good bet we get another Hawkeye out of this too...probably 4*. Or maybe even a 4* Panther

Um. I highly doubt we'll see more characters than the usual release schedule. Maybe, maybe they'll bump the release of the next new character (clearly the Winter Soldier) up a week to coincide with the new event. More likely, I think, they will run the new event twice.

They're very quickly reaching the saturation point on 4*s - to release characters more quickly will mean they need to introduce more control over the characters you get or more cover streams. I don't think they're ready to do that yet.

You must be forgetting the events/releases surrounding the Avengers vs. Ultron movie. We got QS, SW, HB, and Vision pretty much back to back to back to back, all in about a 5-week span.

As mentioned above I think we'll certainly see Winter Soldier during the initial Civil War event and War Machine perhaps in the second half where you play as the other side. Wait a week or so and we'll get 4* Lady Hawkeye. Not sure whether they'll stagger the 2 5* releases or just drop them both at the same time which would really screw with the new/old tokens.

I wouldn't be surprised if they just re-skinned the 3* versions of Cap and IM with those MCU versions, instead of making them 5*'s.

Both the IM40 armor and the Super-soldier costume are outdated now in the comics anyway, and by taking the middle star level for MCU version, it would make more people feel like they were a part of this event. The Forbes article talks about how there's a spike in downloads after each new movie, so a 3* character would feel much more attainable to a new player who is specifically looking for those two characters, as opposed to the super rare chance of getting a 5* cover.

Winter Bucky is a key plot factor in the film, so I think we're certain to see him. War Machine is likely as well.

Beyond that, I think we're looking at 4* versions of Cap and IM, maybe? Crossbones? Who knows?
