Kudos to the "Webbed Wonder" writers

Seriously, and unsarcastically. This was the best-written event in a long time, IMO -- and a great reminder that comics can be FUN instead of always falling into brooding/intense/hi-stakes action tropes. I LLOL'd [Literally Laughed Out Loud] several times through Howard&Spidey's duckventure, and hope that that tone can be carried over to some future more-lighthearted events as well.

Was [current Howard writer] Chip Zdarsky involved in Webbed Wonder's script at all? Howard's dialogue seemed spot-on.

(And, I love that the story followed up on the events of the classic ASM #121!)

I too enjoyed the story. It's great to have new storylines! Great writing and graphics.

It was a fun story, I enjoyed the silliness of it even if Howard didn't. Kingpin trying to stage a Broadway musical still makes me giggle.

I believe I read that in one of the D3 posts, but I'm too busy (read: "lazy") to confirm or provide a link.

I believe in the EW interview Chip said that he was involved in writing Webbed Wonder if not the outright writer.

I lost it at "The most sinister field day ever!"

Plus it is one of the few PvE dialogues which doesn't contain one of the characters saying "I'm in/ We're in"

I agree. I also liked the fact that the Hunt was the new character release, so I could enjoy the story in Webbed Wonder and not worry about rushing through it.

Throwing my kudos in as well, I really enjoyed this PVE, both story-wise, and opponents wise. When I actually can enjoy a Moonstone fight instead of rolling my eyes for the umpteenth time, they did something right.

Feel free to run it again ASAP... esepcailly if you give another Howard cover icon_e_smile.gif

Likewise. Lots of chuckles, not only in the pre-match dialog but the fight descriptions as well! It's not like Zdarsky needs me to tell him he's a good writer, but just the same....Hey Chip! You're a good writer.

Big thumbs up from me for the writing. I especially enjoyed the node summary text--not sure what this is actually called. Easily the best since DP vs. MPQ.
