A surefire way to gain 100K+ iso, 1000+ HP and 100+ hps

Just do what I did... stockpile your taco tokens for months on end, and then open them all at once. Sure, you need to wait a lot and lose out on ~2500 iso every 5 days, but when you finally open, it feels like a gold mine.

It took 207 draws to get howard from taco tokens, but on the way there, I gained riches of iso, hp and health packs. I still have 200+ tokens for the other tacos stored up, so I'll do that the next time I see a few 4*s there that I like.

I think it's better than just opening them up as soon as you get them.

207 tacos... that means you have been saving since some time in September, right?
I tend to open my taco stash whenever I need Health packs. Sometimes I score big, most of the time I don't.

how are you losing ~2500 iso every 5 days?

2 DP tokens = at least 2 2* pulls if you don't get Health packs or hp coins. 2* you don't need = 250 iso

not losing, just delaying. delayed gratification is a lost art these days.

I save my tokens until i need the 4* cover that is required for DPDQ. It also needs to be a 4* I want to level. I currently have over 250 of of savory. I pulled my other stash for iceman

Lots of people do this and I'm sure they do it because it's fun for them, so that's great. It isn't the ideal way to use taco tokens, though, mathematically speaking.

The way to get the most return on tacos is to 1) identify the best 30 rewards in a vault, and 2) open tacos immediately for each vault until you get exactly one of those 30. This strategy leverages the lack of independence of vault draws to keep the balance of probability of getting a good draw always at or above the initial level, and on average, uses all your tokens.

If you do a lot of grinding, another valid strategy is to instead try to maximize your health packs by never opening tacos unless you have zero of them. This maximizes the uptime of the health pack timer.

Saving up taco tokens does give you an advantage if your goal is to save up tries at a particular 4* cover, but it does come with a cost in terms of probable return on investment.

I also opened 150+ of my vault yesterday - got the Howard (now 0/0/3), Gwen, and LT so I stopped with 120ish tacos left.

Was working on RHulk, level 220 going into LR's - and with LR's + half a vault he's almost maxed. Kind of fun! Also a good week to pull from vault, since Iron Man and Iron Fist are there in abundance along with Howard.

Yes, normally I would wait until I had 300+ tokens and then only open them until I reached one of the top prizes (4*, LT, 1000 HP, etc). But with Howard being a one-time prize, I decided to go for it, emotionally ready to handle not winning him even after opening all 250-ish tokens. Luckily I did win him before running out icon_cool.gif So I saved the remaining 23 for later...

I can't wait, I'm exercising patience just by waiting until I have both Taco Tokens before pulling them...

I splurged since Howie was in the vault....took me 104 (ish, I think) pulls but I got all the 4*s and most of the 3*s. Still have 100 something left!

I've shared this on the Reddit forum but I am not sure if I have shared it here or not. I made a chart to statistically analyze the vaults and chances of you getting what you want.

    https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/ ... sp=sharing

Hopefully it can help someone out.

Right there with you, I've always got 3* covers dying on the vine so I have to get and sell those 2*s. Got six Doc Ock covers in the queue right now, need 29K to finish and the 7500 to champ. Got 10.5 days before the first of them expires so, easy peasey but as soon as I finish him and start to hoard again I'll pull 5 or 6 Mystiques or Dooms. icon_lol.gif

Only got 12 3*s left to finish. Only 12 more "free" instant Legendary Tokens.

Your problem is ISO? Mine is OCD! Can't have all those tokens sitting there or the compulsion tears at me. I tried waiting the 5 day cycle, and by day 5, all 10 tokens were open. Can't do it!

What I'm doing this season, with exception to the Howard Duck Season specific tokens, is saving everything. All tacos, basic tokens heroic, 10 packs, and PVE/PVP tokens are going to be opened after the season is over. I'm at 80 right now. My buddy who plays the game, and myself, are then going to get some Mexican food and have a token opening party!

My big advice is open your rare tokens first, but don't sell anything good.

i.e. open all LT first, (add champ levels were appropriate, sell all 2* after opening all LT)
open all event tokens (add champ levels as appropriate, sell all 2* after opening all LT)
Open all heoric tokens (do the same as above)

What your trying to do is clump all your high value covers at the bottom of your que and keep the common ones at the top. This will make the selling process much easier and much less frustrating than if all your tokens are mixed in together.

I've noticed that MPQ is alot slower when there is over 100 covers in the que system, but I'm using a 1st gen ipad mini.

What version of iOS does that run? Support for 6.0 is disappearing in a few days link.

:disclaimer: It might be a stupid question, I know nothing about iThings.

I got one or two more years left on my ipad. The current gen of iOS is likely the last to be be actively supported on G1 ipad mini. Next year my device is likely to be sunsetted from active support. I got 4 long years of use, so that worked out really well

I do exactly that - recently splurged one hoard for my second-last X-23 cover, but I wouldn't have broken discipline for Howard the howard_icon.png!
