I'm playing this season casually. So much so that i've skipped the last two PvP events. I decided to join this event to make a run for the cover at 1k since my JG is 2/1/5. Welp, the 300 point token gave me a Steve Rogers, so that's another champ level. Man, is this game good at pulling you back in.

Congrats! I pulled a Venom with my second token, so I was pretty pleased. Shouldn't be a problem to grab the JG cover, but I just checked and mine is only 0/2/2, so won't be useful for a while.

Jean cover up for grabs means this is the bi-monthly PVP I make a run for 1000 points.

Took zero effort with a level 354+ Thor + Iron Man 40 combo, despite the appalling lack of color diversity on the team.

Now Jean is 4/1/5. I'm sitting on enough CP to max her but I don't have nearly enough ISO. By the time I've gathered enough ISO I'll probably pull more covers for her, Red Hulk or X-23 out of random tokens. Any one will fill the Green/Purple void in my roster.

Post event report:

The good - Using kk+im40, I ended up needing just 1 health pack to climb from 400 to 900. This team works so well!
Since I parked at 500, I gathered quite a few juicy retaliations. These made getting up to 750 a breeze. I doubt I had more than 3 attacks during my climb.
I also went 3 for 3 on my event tokens. The 2nd one was a purple Loki, which I sold. Not convinced he needs to be champed. Third was a blue Magneto, another champ level!
The bad - I started my push with 45 minutes left on the clock, which wasn't enough time to make it to 1k. I was 100 points short.
The ugly - 900 wasn't good enough for top 100. I'm guessing this was because I joined one of the first slice 4 brackets and everyone was pushing hard for first place.
