So, as many of you know, I kind of LOVE Howard the Duck. And as many of you probably don't know, yesterday was my birthday.
I'd like to thank SpiderKev, Gothickratos, and David Hi-FI Moore for adding to my birthday yesterday.

Kev, being the awesome guy that he is, asked CS to give me a free cover since it was my birthday and I'm a Howard fanatic. Per usual, CS denied the request, so Gothic took action and had David escalate the ticket. So during my sub endgrind yesterday (which had me sweating bullets due to the server issues), I had a Howard cover pop up when I thought I was getting just another progression reward! Best MPQ moment EVER(until I get him maxed icon_e_biggrin.gif )!

Thanks again, you guys! It made my MPQ day!

    2,000,000 iso8.png is ok, but his big brother 5,000,000 iso8.png has always been my favorite.

    I will still be gunning for t2 barring any IRL issues or any more server issues. The server issues yesterday had me pretty frustrated.

    Gratz Ducky! I remember when this happened for Ben (I think?) as well when Thing came out. I think it's cool they can get the long-time player big fans a specific cover.

    I think I posted something to the effect of "I hope DuckyV hasn't retired." on the Howard announcement post.

    I want a retroactive birthday present because I asked if this was possible near my birthday and IceIX told me to jump off a pier.

    Well...he didn't, he just said there's no way to track in-game what peoples' birthdays are and that it was open to abuse...

    Nope. Day 776 today and have only spent $90 total. Most of that was when you had to pay for alliance slots.

    Interesting and quality CS experiences like this do my heart good. They certainly did not have to do this and, with the chance of people being all "where's my birthday cover?" (for reals, not playfully as you all have been) the CS team took it upon themselves to do a random act of kindness (with a little nudge from Hi-Fi). This is what good CS is. Sure, consistency rules the day, but these one-off experiences are really special.

    So, hats off to the CS team and Happy Birthday Ducky.

    Some players contacted CS to send me a 4* Punisher cover to persuade me to come back... that was denied and it ended with the lovely "Many questions can be answered by visiting our helpful Marvel Puzzle Quest forum!" You already answered everything I needed to know about CS! icon_lol.gif

    Also I did the bidding and grinded my way to a HD cover, plus will merc in an alliance for the alliance cover. Go team!
