How do you gain HP?

And Im not talking paying for it.

Now that they have removed the HP from 3* and 4* covers, how do people earn their HP?

For me, it involves playing for a ranking in PVE and avoiding a shield if possible as these days an 8 hr shield is a net zero proposition, or getting by with a single 3hr.

  • Finish in top 45 to get 100 hp in regular tournies. That`s what gets you the most hp.
  • And usually in events if you earn 400+ points you can get a 50hp reward. Not always but its been like that for a while.

The latest PvE gave me quite a bit. You could get 100 HP a day if you were in the top 10. When PvP has no rewards I really want, I can generally get top 15 without using shields.

Place in PvP events or dailey rewards. I tend to either get myself in a position for top 45 (fight for 15th or so with an hour or so left ans no shields). Thats the easiest way. I alternate between that and fighting for top 5 or 15 with shielding depending on the prize.

It allowed me to build my roster to 26 while staying competitive.

This also all depends on how your roster is.
  • Very slowly and methodically.
  • Lightning rounds recruit tokens, you get a ton of them if you just get 250 off seed teams every round.
  • The long PVE events like Brotherhood are excellent for HP as long as you manage your MMR and rubberbanding. I was managing Top 5 and Top 10 most days with a non-amazing roster. The prologue has a bunch of HP in it as well, grab all of that. I am up to 17 slots without buying any HP, with more HP still sitting in the prologue waiting for me.

Lol, that is pretty close to my favorite snarky response: Carefully.
  • You should only need shields if you're going for top 15. If you need HP, figure out which tournaments aren't important enough to shield for.

PVE events can give a lot but they're the most effort to reward IMO. You also get a small trickle from daily rewards.

One does not simply get hp. Sorry I couldn't resist. The above answers are correct.
  • I go to the purchase screen and choose Stark Salary. icon_neutral.gif

Pvp. I only ever use the three hour one if the prize is something I want.
  • 500 progression + top 45 finish.

Nope. You can not sell covers for HP anymore.

The prologue has several missions in each chapter with HP in the rewards unless you already farmed them all out.
  • Why don't you just, I don't know, pay for it?

Placing in PvE events are the best way: in the previous event, placing top 5 in both subs got you 100HP a day. If the PvP tournament has rewards that you don't need, placing top 45 will also get you 100HP if you don't use shields (+50 from the prog awards). You need to be pretty hardcore about it if you want to actually net positive HP though.

You can get 25 hp off them, if you do lrs 100 a day isn't uncommon.
  • Uh, Jeremy, did you check the latest announcements yet? Rare covers don't give HP any more.

  • I guess he's talking about the 25HP you now sometimes get out of standard tokens.
  • But "sometimes" is like 2% of the time. To get an expected value of 100 HP, you'd have to be picking up 200 Standard Tokens per day. LRs are nice, but not THAT nice.
