Random Distribution of 5*s Is Still A Problem

It's getting really tiresome spending hours to hit 1300 in order to get a 1/33 chance at the cover needed for progress.

If you widen "progress" to include 5*s other than OML, it's still a 1/10 chance, which results in absurd streaks that leave some unlucky people without any progress after months of consistent legendary draws.

When will progression for 5*s stop being a sadistic, completely random crapshoot, and start allowing steady progress towards a goal?

    This topic is tiresome.

BTW, I agree with you but they aren't going to change their biggest cash cow.

Understand that 5*'s are hooks to keep people playing and spending money. If you get 5 LT's a week it'll take you over a year and a half to max one 5* if you're averagely lucky. 5*'s are a happy accident. If you're playing PURELY for 5*, stop now. You're getting suckered.

If your roster is good enough to actually need 5*s to progress, yes, 4*s grow on trees, compared to 5*s.

That's the angle Raffoon and a lot of other vets are coming from.

There's nothing else to play for.

Am I supposed to play for the latest 4* that's weaker than my current roster, and that I'll get to use a year from now because there are already so many covers in the 4* pool? (and they eliminated HP buying of covers)

If I'm just playing to have some fun in a match-3 game, that sure doesn't warrant the time commitment that's needed to not drag down a semi-competitive alliance. Just playing occasionally for fun also doesn't net ANY progression for me at this point in my roster.

I mean.... this has never been a game about interesting gameplay and challenging mechanics. You match gems over and over (which can admittedly still be a good way to chill/zone out sometimes). It's a game about collecting a roster of characters and improving them. When you can't improve them because the developers are making horrid design choices, that's a problem.

Typically in any MMO type game, (I've played PLENTY) there is an incredible end game grind used to keep players around. And yes, its NEVER worth the time committment to most people. You have a choice. I have always chosen to NOT grind my life away on rewards for months that I will enjoy for a very limited time. At that point, it isn't the reward that matters, its the CHASE. Now if you enjoy the chase, do it. If you don't enjoy the chase, don't chase. I think its better to start a newer game in which the chase rewards you at the pace of fun for yourself. You are a free individual and for every second spent on doing something you don't like in your life, you're not spending it finding another game that would give you much more happiness. There are tons, TONS of AMAZING games out there. Make sure your playing a game ONLY when you get enjoyment out of it. Otherwise, your wasting your limited time on this Earth doing something you hate. That's what a job is for. =P
