When does it count that you have joined the season?

I have been wondering this and hope the people know about it can share your answers.

When does it count that you have just joined a season? Is it:

A) As soon as you join (select) a shard for the first PVP.

B) As soon as you start the first fight on SHIELD Sim?

C) Which comes first for the above?

Appreciate any info!

I think, but am not sure, that it's whenever you officially score points towards the seasonal total. So just joining a shard in the first event I think is a "no", but playing a node in the Sim is a "yes" if you win.

    I believe it is C.

You join a season either by selecting a pvp slice (no need to play) or winning the first shield sim match. Whichever comes first.

fairly sure the answer is C...the only part i'm unsure about is what happens if you fight a simulator match and lose (or retreat). Do you still enter a season bracket? I've never tried so I dunno.

Losing to a 1* seed team? You'd have to have some serious skills, or the opponent have one of those magical cascades everyone gripes about...

BTW Mohio, as an aside, sorry for hitting you in the Punisher PVP (slice 5). I needed some points, and 72 was too juicy to pass up - I was trying hard not to hit a fellow forumite, but no one else was available. icon_e_smile.gif

If you open up sim too late, there are no seed teams...

The moment you select simulator or season pvp, you are automatically placed into a bracket. If you have noticed in pvp, you can select a slice for pvp and even with a 0 point are given a placement. Same things with Shield sim, the moment you click on it you are automatically placed into a bracket even with a score of 0. Hope that helps.

This is not Correct. You can open the SHIELD Simulator without being placed in a season bracket. I always check the rewards as soon as possible and can still do a late start in the season. Just don't play a game there and you are good.
However, picking a PvP time Slice does indeed put you in a season bracket.

For Sim, what if I click on any of the nodes but not entering any match? I normally click on all 5 nodes to have the game cache the seed teams as if I click on the nodes later the seed teams will not show up. Will that enter me into a bracket?

No, I usually check them out too. You don't get placed on the Simulator scoreboard until you have gotten points, so check all You want.

As soon as you put points on the board you are placed into a season bracket, even if you lose the opening match in Simulator. Zero points is still classed as a point value.
