Tilematch damage tweaking.

For each character, it should be possible to tweak the tilematch damage.

Overall, the amount of damage done should be +0, with the maximum plus being +2, and the maximum negative being -6. For example, Here are current stats for Hulk and Patch.

11/60/12/10/67/52 -- The Hulk (Indestructible)
52/60/12/11/67/10 -- Wolverine (Patch)

With a tile-patch tweak, the stats for Hulk and Patch could be
13/60/14/12/67/48 -- The Hulk (Indestructible)
54/62/12/05/69/10 -- Wolverine (Patch)

This tweak could make a lot of teams more interesting to play, and would be a relatively simple implementation.

  • I actually like it when a given color match value is the same between two of my characters. I can use the lineup at the match start to control who gets priority, which I may want to be different in different fights.

I did not know this! A tweaking ability would still help.
  • What do you mean by line up ?
  • I mean that, tile damage rating being equal, the character in the middle of your lineup before the match (where you select who is going into combat) will take priority over the others. (I think the one on the right side also takes priority over the one on the left, but I haven't verified that.) The character in the middle also matches environment tiles.

...but yes, I'm generally in favor of giving players control over some tactical considerations, and tweak handles could be a good thing.

No offence, but are You aware that "could make more interesting" is far from being a vaild argument?
  • Did you come up with those new tile patch numbers because you want to use a very specific team? If that's the problem, then you should try not leveling a character all the way and leaving him to the point where a certain colors damage does not pass another characters tile damage. Lining up your characters before a match can also solve this with characters who have the same tile damage.
