Mana woes

Really p'oed this a.m. Have played 10 games (day off) with level 50 characters and lost 8.

The reason? Whilst I can only draw 3 or 4 power a turn, my opponent always gets cascades of 8 to 30.

I'm no newbie. I look for my colours and I look for cascades. This unevenness is destroying my enjoyment. My average is 68.1% wins as shown in Quick Battles but I'm currently losing 80%?

  • Haha, can't say I've had this happen a lot. I was at an 80 win streak recently until I lost my internet connection in the middle of a match. I guess you just had some really bad luck? I mean, puzzle quest games are all about the cascade factor, and Magic PQ is actually a lot more forgiving than the other iterations. Also, who doesn't play paper Magic that doesn't get a string of games with mana flood/screw? For something more constructive, I guess you could try paying more attention to how your moves will set up your opponent's turn and make sure you don't give them easy combos?
  • icon_evil.gif yeah..just got hosed in last qb from ludicrous cascades. Health at 73, opponent at 6. Their next turn..wiped me out. It can be aggravating for sure, but I suppose its conceivable that that sort of luck is bound to occur from time to time.

And it also happens to us all the time to allow us to win fights in 2-3 minutes as well. We chalk that up to playing correctly, but I get 2-3x cascades from things falling down I couldn't see all the time.
