ISO decision

I'm facing an ISO decision:
1. Take my 3/5/0 SS to level 350.
or
2. Continue my leveling project on my 4*s, none of whom have max covers.

My roster is linked in my sig. I'm a 4* transitioner, with 23 champed 3*, but no 4* fully covered (although many are in the 7-10 cover range). Really not interested in champing any more 3*; I've already got a nicely diverse roster that covers my needs well.

I'm concerned about scaling on the first choice since I have no maxed 4* to back him up. The temptation of his match damage and healing are strong, though.

With 4*, I'm already engaged in a project to bring all those that are considered "good" (IMHB, XFool, Rhulk, Ice, JG, 4Cyc, etc.) to their max current levels, so that as I add covers I can level them more quickly. Also, they are starting to win some DDQs, which accelerates the transition more.

I just don't know how big an impact a 350 SS will have on my MMR in PVP. I rarely play PVE, even for new events. I did Quake, but not Pun Max. I have been seeing 4* rosters from around 250 even before my first champed 3*.

I could probably achieve the SS with this week's LRs. I could also probably max level (within my covers) several 4*. I'd welcome thoughts on alternatives.

Sadly, dont take SS to 350. Its more of a long term strategy, but id take your undercovered 4*s to about 100-120 so they are useful in the 4* DPDQ to get more LTs, which will (with LOTS of luck) get you 5*s. 5*s are where the game is headed, so taking a long view and setting yourself up to pull as many as you can is the best strategy. Its just not as fun as having a shiny 4* to play with......sorry.

Don't level your SS yet, it is not going to help you at all, and it will raise both your MMR and PvE scaling rating. People eats SS for breakfast in PvP, (if it was 405 + level it will begin to be scary, but I have fought SS 405+ level with my maxed 4s and 370 OML and SS is really easy to beat) and if you field him A LOT of people that has better 5s is going to start fighting you. 4 teams will also destroy your SS easily, and forget about fighting 3s after you use him.

I think the best you can do right know is save the iso until you have a couple or three 4s with 11-13 covers. Then use the iso on those 4s to level all of them more or less at once (and at that point if you really want you can level your SS).

PS: My SS has 9 covers, so it has 390 level as max possible, but I still have to put 1 iso into him. He is not worth it right now, he is much worse than the other 5s. I really hope they buff it a little...

I would advise leveling 4*s to a point where they can do 4*ddq, but not much further until you see who gets covered first. Build up a good reserve until you have one or two 4*s with enough covers that you would use them boosted instead of one of your boosted 3* champs. I'm just a little further along than you (have a small handful of cover maxed 4*s now), and I did what you were proposing. But I would definitely prefer to take back levels 170 to 190 on three characters if I could bring one 4* from 190 to 225 (or so) immediately.

I agree with others about holding off on SS. At least get the first red cover.

Sounds like general agreement on staying with 4*. I understand the reasoning and can stick with my current plan. I do have a lot at 100 already. Was disappointed in not winning the 4Cyc battle but my cover distribution isn't ideal for him. Have won some others easily, which is nice.

Side note: halirin, I have 5 red covers, but no black. You meant wait for the black, right?

Back when I was at around same progress as you Ive found 151 (dont have to be ecact this but it looks nice) to be a sweet pitstop for 4* chars - I was able to win every 4* ddq at that lvl as long as they were descent covered within 1-3 tries. Then untill I had my top 4* at 13 lvl I was focusing on lvling 3*. tbh even now when I have several 4* championed i still prefer to fight ubderlvled not maxcovered 4* over champed and boosted 3*. Also the more 3* you mamage to champ now the more you'll profit in future. I've stoped at 20 as at that point Ive started getting 13 covers on top tier 4* and since then I had no opportunity to get back to champ few more 3* and selling all those covers for just 500 iso is really painful...

172 is a good soft cap, more than adequate for their Crash and 173 is 2x the amount of iso per level.

Thanks Hendross, knowing that about level 172 is perfect. It keeps them under 3* range but within a decent range of being ready to level when I have covers and ISO.

and from 172->270 it's a nice round 300k ISO (+12.5k champ)
