Please help me with my roster

Hi all

So I have been playing this game for a long time (on day 532 of resupply thing).

But I never really thought about anything I did in the game, just went with it as it came.

So now I am unsure of what to do, I think some of my chars are really good, but I keep seeing people with terrible rosters doing way better than me. So I'm guessing that I might be doing something wrong with the roster I have, making the game harder for me than it should be.

Any advise on how to improve it is greatly appreciated. Like should I just cut some of them? Where should I try to focus and such.

I suspect the fivestars are increasing your scaling beyond what the rest of your roster can handle. Do you use Old Man Logan and Phoenix a lot?

I never use Phoenix, but i do use Old man Logan alot. But if he is making it harder for me, I would be fine with dropping him from my roster.

Short term, I would suggest the following:

Making your 3* Thor a champ so you can respec him to 3/5/5. His yellow is so much more powerful at 5. He pairs really well with Groot who will tank yellow and green for him which is great since Groot can heal. I run this duo all the time and for that reason, I've spec'd my Groot at 5 yellow for the bigger heal. It isn't required but comes in handy since you almost never use his green over Thor's.

A few other respec's that might help:

Move 3* Wolverine to 5/3/5. The extra covers in yellow are huge for his regen.
Move 2* black Widow to 3/5/5. The extra covers in blue come in handy against countdown goons.

Long term, just keep plugging away at DDQ to get more 3* covers for your team.

Thanks for the advise, I just got the last cover for Thor, so he is getting all my ISO so that i can champion him asap. Right now i'm just really iso-starved

Just to make it 100% clear. Having 5* in my roster will make the content harder for me right?

PvE events scale based on your roster levels, hence why you see people coming in top 10 in those events using 2 star teams. So you're pushing up the levels of the higher end nodes, which is probably making Venom Bomb more miserable for you you (and it's already a miserable event). Also I think the PVP matchmaking is also based on your highest leveled character, though I'm not 100% sure on that, and that might change since the Magneto test isn't getting the same hate as the Enemy of the State test.

As for the rest of your roster, all the characters you've champed are solid choices. It looks like you're about to get to the point where your cover pulls are going to outpace your ISO generation, so you'll need to prioritize soon enough. Honestly you've got, like, 10 really good 3*s that you need more covers for, so I'd just sit on your ISO until you have one of them fully covered.
