Level up advice?

My roster for those who want to look.

So I've been playing for a while and I'm starting to get fully covered 4*s. I was leveling them as I needed them for the DPD, but then Championing became a thing so I was focusing my resources on getting my 3s topped off. I got all the ones I already had at 166 and raised up a couple I enjoyed using. I've got 10 3*s left, so my question is should I wrap those last ones off before moving on to 4*s, or just leave them be.

For those who don't want to look at my roster:
I have Buster, X-Force Wolvie, and Ants already maxed, and I'm pushing up Lady Thor now since I've got a couple of her covers coming up on my champs. I have Fury, Kingpin, Falcap, and Carnage covered (also Invis, Starlord, and Dino, but they're them) for 4*s, and among the leftover 3*s is Panther, Beast, Daredevil, and Doom.

Advice? I'm kind of at the point where I've got too many options.

I don't really consider panther a leftover. he is a premium, top-tier character. I would do him and then consider torch. I like torch, but apparently I like him more than others do, so your call there. but panther is a no brainer to me.

kp and carnage are interesting. if you can get black going, kp is incredibly strong, but can be slow at times. I have not yet found a team I love with carnage. that's why he hasn't gotten any iso yet from his ddq level. I'm not overly anxious to work on falcap or fury

I'd do everything I could to try and finish that jean. any of her, ice, or rulk would work, but your ice and rulk are lagging a little. if you could get jean finished she would be an obvious one. I'd even put some levels into her anyway once you finished panther and maybe worked on kp a little.

This. Cyclops too, those are your premier 4*s that you want. I like Carnage a lot.....because everyone hates him. You get a lot more skips when you put him up on defense - especially with JG. No 4* duo is going to give you a free pass to 1.3k, but a JG/Carnage team is something most people aren't interested in dealing with when there is a sea of JeanBusters out there to tackle.

As far as 3* vs 4* - up to you. Personally I think the focus should be on 4*s. Yeah, BP is a great character, but does he really add much to your roster when you have dozens of other champed 3*s and some 4*s to rely on? I think that ISO would be better saved until you can get some top tier 4*s covered and maxed immediately. Adding a JG/Ice/Rulk to your Buster is going to really elevate your competitiveness, and being able to max them the second you pull that final cover will really help.

Thanks for the advice guys. Just maxed out Lthor, going to champ her to respect her powers, plus I have her covers coming up on my Storm and KK champs. I think my next course of action is to get Jean up to her max, then make the effort to push to 1k whenever I see her come up in PVP rewards. After that, it's hoard ISO until I either get Hulk or X-Pool fully covered, or I have enough ISO to max Carnage, whichever comes first. I know Iceman is really good, but holy uncanny valley Batman does his sprite creep me out.

I'm actually glad to hear Carnage is a viable option, since I've always wanted to try a team of him, Prof-X, and Devil Dino (though I'm not going to level Dino any more than I already have. The idea is stupid enough as is).

Alright, I'm back with an update to my roster. Looking for advice one which direction to go from here. I've maxed out Jean and Lady Thor, and Daredevil for no real reason. So, here's my situation:
I still have 9 3*s still hovering around the 130 mark. About 89k per to champ them.
I've got Kingpin, Carnage, Eddie Venom, Fury, D-Dino, Starlord, Invisible, and Fal-Cap fully covered, and Thing and Cho-Hulk within 3 covers of completion.

The 4*s I have fully leveled are: Hulkbuster, Jean, Antman, X-Force, and Lady Thor.
I'm thinking Eddie Venom, since his yellow is good he'll fit in with Jean Buster. I would do Kingpin for that, but in PVP I'm afraid the AI will Gambit instead of Overdrive on black. Thoughts?

Aren't you concerned the AI will fire Venom's green instead of Jean's though?
Personally, I love running Kingpin and Hulkbuster together when they are both boosted as that massive wall of HP is a big deterrent to any attackers. I don't usually use Overdrive that much as Wilson's Gambit is usually a better source of damage IMO.
I haven't used Venom enough to say if he's a good investment or not unfortunately. I Think Kingpin, Carnage and Thing are all excellent investments though.

I recently did thing and was a little disappointed with him until CW. him boosted is really good. when we finished the IM side and went to cap's side, he was my all-star. his huge health pool with xpool's retal ability really was my go-to team for the boss fight. I don't think i'll use him much unboosted, but boosted, its a huge pool of health and decent damage (not great, like ice, rulk or cyke, but decent). really not sure how I would have handled rd 8 without thing (no oml yellow for me yet).

Okay, so update. I went ahead and did Venom. His green is kinda trash, but I adore his yellow. Hits about as hard as Buster's red at 9 AP and his softening of defense tiles works wonders in PVE. No regrets. Currently building up Carnage and loving the two symbiotes with Doc Oc in Nefarious Forces.

Though now that I'm almost done with Carnage I'm wondering who to do next. Realistically I think my choices are Kingpin or Ghost Rider. I have him covered and I've heard a lot of people recommend him, but outside of Switch who does he pair with? I'm two covers away from Ghost, and I know his black is amazing against bosses, but is he worth it outside of that? Or should I ignore both and dump into Iceman or 4* Cyke. They're both 3 covers away, so it might be a while before they're covered for me. Rulk is the one I really want to build, but he's still 5 covers out.
