Who should I champion (2*)?

I've been playing the game for a month and a half
My roster is http://mpq.gamependium.com/rosters/undrtaker/
Championed 2* Storm and Widow. My plan is/was to champion Magneto next as he is a great match for the other two, but he only has 10 covers so far, while Daken, Thor and Capt.Marvel have 13 (Daken even has 2 spares waiting for when he is champed)
SO I'm wondering if I should just keep saving Iso til Magneto had the missing 3 covers (which can take a day or 2 months...) or just champion one of the others that are already at 13/13? Or maybe another option I'm neglecting?

Unrelated, if i need to make some roster space, any specific 3* or $* I can get rid of without missing them later one?

Speaking entirely from personal experience, now that I have all the 2* championed (except Bagman, who I don't have a cover for), my go to team is still OBW, Storm, and Thor. Thor's powers compliment the others well, and he makes a nice beefy tank for the two against most fights, so he'd be my recommendation as a 'next target.'

When it comes to roster spots, if you're going to need to drop someone, drop someone who's replaceable. Early on in my transition, I sold off a Luke Cage Red cover in favour of rostering GSBW with her newly found 1 Red Cover. Since that date, 100+ days have gone by and no Luke Cage cover has returned to me. He's the one empty spot on my 3* roster. Had I thought about it, I would have realized that GSBW will be brought to me with OBW's Champion rewards. I should have made the other choice.

Thor seems like a great choice. I just know that once I champ him, I'll be flooded with Magneto covers
Also have 3 Daken covers stashed that will go to waste if I don't get another 70k iso in the next 10 days
