Clearing boosts after each use

Can you have the boosts clear after every level. I'm talking about the damage increases and the color boosts.

You use them in a big fight , but then if you go to the next match with an easy opponent, and you go through to quick and apply them when you don't need to, and it's a pain to remove them. Lazy man problem I know but I think it would be more convenient.

Now I'm sure someone feels the exact opposite of me. So maybe make it a game menu option to turn that feature on or off.

I've been asking for this around a year. Folks who mainly play PVP complain that they don't want to have to reset their boosts during a shield hop. Having now attempted some shield hopping, I can sympathize, but I still think the greater good lies in clearing boosts to prevent accidental usage.

Demiurge will likely not change it, as it encourages people to buy more boosts.

Have I accidentally used boosts? Hell yeah. Do I want to risk any extra time at all while hopping? Hell no. Accidental usage has a fix: pay attention. Getting hit right before you put your shield back up, because you had to waste 5 or 10 extra seconds redoing your boosts, doesn't have a fix.

Shield hopping is emergent behavior, not a game function. It's also not something the vast majority of players do, and it was my understanding that shield cooldowns were introduced as a way to reduce the amount of hopping taking place because it was never the developers' intention that PVP work that way.

Now, the primary intention of the developers is making money, in which case the game should randomly pick boosts for us each match....

    I'll stop talking now.

Ideally, this should be a checkbox preference in settings.

Clear boosts after each match: [X]

A "remove all" button would be nice too.

I can see the benefit of clearing in rare cases, but I think I benefit more from them being left as-is between than from clearing them out after every match. especially in pvp, when you mostly settle on a team and strategy for the event. and that is where speed is most important. speed is not critical in pve except for maybe 1% of the playerbase. I'd prefer to leave it.

Yeah, this. Why do we have to go into the menu, switch from the TU tab to the boosts tab to find the "remove" button? By no means a pressing issue, but it would be nice.

The rare cases you speak of are: every time anyone uses a boost outside of shield hopping.

Even within PVP I only bring out the expensive boosts if I'm going against a team that's a bit of a stretch for me.

So far Dayv's suggestion has been the best one. A config option to clear boosts for those of us that are tired of wasting +all AP / +50% to all matches on the 1* fight in DDQ.

Often happens to me as well: using a boost and then quickly wanting to jump into the next game and forgetting to clear my boosts. So +1 for implementing this

I'm curious why you would think that the dev's intent when they developed shields was for people to play and progress as far as they can, and then pop one shield til the end. If that were the case, we wouldn't have cooldowns... we'd have a hard limit of one shield per event.
