Trap tile overlap

Do trap tiles overwrite each other?

Visible tiles will overwrite a trap and negate it. But what happens if a power would write a trap to a tile that is already trapped by the enemy? Would one overwrite the other? Do they coexist? If you fire a trap power and that's the only tile available, do you get an error message telling you there are insufficient tiles for that power?

    They overwrite. See the Doom lightning round for proof, where the AI's Diabolical Plot traps can and will directly overwrite your own Plot traps.

    Addendum to this - did anyone else notice in the Elektra pvp that firing her black when the AI's black is out seems to specifically avoid overwriting? I'd fire it right after the AI in an effort to get rid of a couple and it never once overwrote - or at least I assume not, because I didn't get the "Shadow Step" banner that you normally get when a trap tile is eliminated.
