Hoarding vault tokens

Can anyone tell me if hoarding for vault tokens is working?
I mean if I hoard tokens from current PvE and wait till its next occurrence, will hoarded tokens be added to its vault or new vault will be created?

It works for taco tokens. I see no reason it wouldn't work for other vaults as well.

Ditto, don't see any reason why it wouldn't work. That said, they haven't re-run any vault PvE's yet (I don't think) so it won't be possible to actually confirm until that happens.

The problem w/ pve vault token hoarding is that you don't know if game devs will use vaults or non-vaults the next time the event comes around. They could easily change their minds and drop vaults entirely, and if so then you waited all those weeks/months for nothing.

Taco vault hoarding, on the other hand, is much more of a sure thing. icon_cool.gif

There is a major problem with hoarding tokens, as in, yes it works but the vault number no longer is a factor after the event expires.

So with vaults only containing 80 items obviously the odds are pretty good to open 1 of 4 potential 4* (including LT).

However after the event ends, it no longer retains the memory of those items and in fact the 4* covers themselves become random. Thus every pull after event end is 1/80 as opposed to whatever x/80 you reached while playing the event and/or buying tokens.

The OP wants to wait with opening till the event is played again and the vault is there once more.

In my opinion it will probably work but why even bother? You have 8-10 tokens per event (maybe more if you play hard). And the event won't be back for months (and could be new release so no vault, etc). I am hoarding non-vault tokens this month to see if I can have better odds when I open a bunch of tokens at once. But the PvE vault ones I am opening on site.

Well if it works, then in theory you can sit on them long enough to get the new characters when they're essential the following event (which is vaulted). Moreover there's little harm if I'm wrong, given I have like 4-8 tokens for each right now.

It's very rare to have a new character release in a 3-day or 7-day PvE these Days, so those are presumably less risky than the 4-day event tokens.

At the moment I have 12 tokens in EotS, I should get one more today. If I will wait till next EotS (of course if it won't be new character release) and get the same amount of tokens it will be 26 tokens. Plus I could get then one every day by daily deal. It should get me to over 30/80 tokens and for these odds I'm considering hoarding.

Nevertheless thank you everyone for your opinion!

Edit: And I forgot that we will get also some free tokens for testing new horrible scalling system icon_e_wink.gif

So far, just from playing the event and buying a few at 100hp, I am already at 26/80 pulls on the EotS vault.

    Just saying.

Unfortunately, I expect the three freebies to be against a fresh, "stockpiled" vault. icon_rolleyes.gif

This last point is why I'm going to stockpile my last five EotS tokens for next time. I'm at about 20 of the 80 prizes and have already pulled two 4*s, so I can either go into the active vault after ... not much, or roll one of three 1:80 chances.

Seven-day events cough up the best vault chances, especially EotS (one token reward per sub), so with daily deals I should hit at least 30/80.

Now watch them do away with regular vaults...

Use the tokens now, get iso, get stronger. You're foregoing "investment return" on that potential iso by hoarding. The increased odds benefits almost certainly don't make up for all that time.
