Crash of the Titans Cycle 2: Iceman

Spent my daily ISO to level my 1/1/3 iceman to 109.
Was able to put a dent in her, but without the stunlock, just a matter of time before she fires a power off.0 -

I didn't luck into any more Iceman covers, so he stayed at level 94. I spent 13 health packs trying to see if I could win without using any boosts, but no matter what I tried, she would always gather enough AP to kill me in one shot. I also tried using the +20% Mutant and +20% X-Men, but I cascaded into a match-5 the second turn. After that, I decided to just stick to AP boosts. 2 more attempts, and I lucked into a purple friendly board. Cascaded into purple and blue, all while avoiding match-5s. That let me cast Iceman blue, and then match it away to keep her stunned. If there were no blue matches, I always had enough purple to create more blue nearby. It wasn't a perfect perma-stun, since I noticed that close to the end she had enough green to down me, but I finally won with about 80% health left.
So disappointing.
Onto the next!0 -
She only got one match on my ice man(lvl 150 4/3/3) the entire time. Easiest Reed Richards cover evar!0

Did well with 0/3/2 at level 115 (I did use Purple/Blue boosts to make the damage quicker). Pulled a Phoenix Red which will make her 1/0/4 after I apply it... just waiting until after the Magneto PVP test.0

Level 192 3/1/5 got her down to 282 first vanilla run. Second run I boosted purple/blue, rainbow, 100% match damage, almost perma-stun for an easy win.
Got a purple Kingpin, which finally completes him at 5/3/5. Now I just need yet more ISO for those final 20 levels.0 -
4/1/2 level 105 Iceman, second try with no problem at all. I used when there was any danger of giving her or AP, and saved up my own and . Two Cold as Ice into two Whiteouts got the job done. I also used +2 / AP boost and 100% match damage. Won with about 3K HP to spare.
Got from the LT0 -
Finally took her out with a 3/1/2 by following the basic advice on this thread: build a snowman, don't punch one. Took a few boards before I found a friendly one but I did get there in the end.0

2/4/1 152 and no boosts, got her on the second try even though she jumped out to a staggering lead -- had me down to 1700 health before I got enough blue to stun her even once. While the board was blue-starved in the beginning, at one point I could practically trip my way into a blue match and the AI had maybe one turn from then on where it could make a move.
Red Cyclops was my reward.0 -
The last time Iceman's match came up my Iceman was only a 1/1/2, and I fared poorly and couldn't win. This time, my 1/3/2 131 Iceman had a much better time of it. It was also satisfying making match-5s while she was stunned, ha!0

Still don't have a blue for Iceman so not even giving it a try0

2/1/1 and level 94, and it's still impossible, even boosting blue and all AP. I can't generate enough blue to keep JG from getting enough AP to fire anything.0

2/2/0, level 106, won on the first try. I did use boosts though (all AP, all match damage and b/p AP). This was easiest since Professor X
Kept her stunned for most of the match. Got 5* to make him 2/0/10 -
Took 10 tries with 1/2/2 level 111, but finally got enough blue to keep her stunned and enough purple to keep the CD tile matched away. All that work for TAH0

Took me 10 tries with my 1/2/1 @94.
the last 8 tries were with +50% blue/purple match strength, +50% green/black match strength, and +2 blue/purple ap (i.e. only the iso boosts).
It was just a matter of getting enough blue to keep her stunned as much as possible. I tried to make sure that I stunned her whenever there multiple green/purple matches on the board. And then my second priority would be matching away by blue countdown so I could stun her again. I also tried to make sure I always cast purple twice in a row in stead of just once (with only 1 cover, even two casts is just 8 tiles. so double casting was the only way to get cascades and make sure I had enough blue to keep her stunned).
Once I figured out the right strategy, it was just a matter of board luck. A few times she cascaded into 12 green or 10 purple before I could event collect 6 blue, which was an insta-retreat. But eventually the board cooperated.0
