Steam on multiple devices

Has there been any news on a way to link Steam to another device? I started playing this game for a few weeks on Steam, but now find myself at a disadvantage because i can only play when i am at home. I am hoping to play out an about and get it linked on my android cell phone. Im aware of the steam cloud (i dont need the files copied to another PC, i need it on the go) and that you can backup the file on Facebook. However you can not back up a steam file to facebook. So really im looking for a direct link from Steam to android.

Also if anyone knows a 3rd part app to make it possible that's cool too. For example i have Splash top on my iPad which takes over my PC so i can play on my tablet (however it needs to be linked to the same internet network).

  • Short answer: No.
Slightly longer answer: No, unless you're from the steam closed beta.
Long answer: No, unless you're from the steam closed beta, in which case you can contact support and get them to manually do the linking.

As for 3rd party software, I have no clue but in my opinion, it's highly unlikely.
  • is there any update on this? i've stopped playing for a couple of months now but can play if i have it on my pc. It would be good to get my stats from the facebook backup

If you email CS they can move your account from Steam to your phone, but you'll have to first install MPQ on the phone and create a PVP name. Don't link it to Facebook or Google though until they move it over.
