Bored of tough games

Hey all,

My roster is pretty good. 5 270+ guys and 30 maxed 3* and a mix of 4*

Every fight in pvp seems to be against 270s plus a maxed buffed 3*. Every fight is a slog and usually a HP or 3 after, sometimes just for 38 points.

It's getting boring.

What can I do to lower my MMR and have an easier time of it?

I usually get 900-1000+...

Unless you sell off your 4* you won't lower your MMR in PVP. Also once you get over 800+ everyone is open.
A different suggestion is join a line group depending on your slice. You will be able to line up bigger points and if you are willing to try shield hopping aim for 1300 points. I held off for a while but realized I preferred a line group to wreaking someone else's PVP score. You will still face big teams but when they are worth 75 points it is worth the health packs. Also depending on your slice you might see more 5* players than other slices so if you can try a different time slice you might find some better teams.

The Blade pvp is particularly brutal too. Spider-man should be a whole different experience. Try changing your combos up. I used five different pairs for this pvp because I kept wiping. OML/Ant-Man (fun, but slow), Fistbuster (fast, but squishy), Jeanbuster (worked for a while), 4Thor/IM40 (this got me over the 1000 hump) and finally I was using OML/Jean to hop. Nothing was working particularly well, to be honest. Blade's just tough.

Combination of tough PvE and tough PvP is wiping me out.

Ended up grinding out one sub event, staggering my way through a first clear of the next, wiped on that god awful Magneto/Hood node, and finished the clear with 0 health packs.

Did two Blaze nodes, won the first and got stomped on in the second. So I shielded for a bit, which won't really help much. So now I'm faced with needing to do another PvE clear plus grind PvP with less than 3 hours to go before I go to bed tonight.

The timing's so awful. Also, suggestion for devs, can you please make that stupid Hood/Magneto node a one-time thing, not a repeatable node? It really is one of the worst nodes in the game.

My 5*s aren't playable yet, 2 covers on each of them, useless at that level, and I don't like to use 3* cos I'll end up taking even more hits than when I field 270s

And why do I always always take a hit on the jump to 1000? Tinykitty always....

It is a slightly weird decision the way the regular 3v3 at the end is non-repeatable compared with the special 3v2 node that would seem a more obvious candidate to be a one-off.

Used 3 boosted, champed 3* characters for Blade's PvP. Only three star teams I saw after 400 points were worth 35 or less. Finally just started hitting the champed 4* teams to get some points. Don't care about Venom, just wanted the Blade cover at 800 to level him 1. Broke 725, still over 100th place, got lit into by boosted 4* and 5* teams. Retals are worth single digit points.

New matchmaking can't come soon enough.

With a roster like that those are the teams you should be seeing in versus. I have maybe a dozen champed 3* (none of them being Cage, Fist or Cyclops) and over 300-400 points I am seeing teams of maxed/champed 4* and max champed featured. To me the match making algorithm should be placing us against teams with similar levelled rosters and not allowing folks to just steam roll us small fry.

Like others have said already Blade versus is always going to be health pack intensive, no need to match me against overpowered (compared to the needed 3*) teams from the get go. I struggled to get 400 points where as usually 800 is the norm and pretty much every other match was a wipeout for me.

Exactly this. With that roster you should have some options. My A-Team this event was one I have never used before - Carnage/OML. I also tried JG/Carnage, Cyke/JG, Iceman/Carnage. I don't think I brought my Hulkbuster out one time this event! That's the beauty of having a diverse 4* roster is that you can cut down on health packs and climb for a little longer using teams specifically to counter others and avoid retals.

LINE groups and baking add a level of excitement as well, but I get that it's not for everyone.
