You don't join a main bracket until you select an end time. The amount of people in your bracket should be in a red band above the black band that states how much time is left in the event. It is easiest to just check the last post in the thread, to see what the latest info someone has provided. If the time zone settings in your user profile are correct, you should be able view the time the person posted, to see how current their info is. There is a possibility of multiple brackets filling side by side, so join a "fresh" bracket at your own risk.

Useful info to provide

1)Time slice you are in
2)Current amount of people in bracket
3)Leader in bracket with amount of points
4)Time you joined the event, if it was not right before posting in the thread.

    I haven't joined a slice yet, but i'm curious what benefit is this info? If you join a slice now, isn't it going to become full eventually?

    The benefit is most marked near the end of a sub when you can join a fresh bracket and have a few more points than everyone else since they will have missed the end of that sub.

    Also gives you a better shot at placement (although not progression bonuses) since you might luck into a bracket that doesn't have as many guys shooting for placement as you would by signing up immediately when all the hardcore people are all grinding max. If you get in on a slice that just opened but is already playing you also get the benefit of getting slightly more points than everyone who signs up after you since they will be dealing with a slightly diminished return on their refreshes compared to you.

    I just joined a s2 at 986. Leader is taugenix at 18K.

    Current slice 4 vet is at 564. Leader is RentLaVBoM at 7023. Rest of top 10 is in the 5-6k range.

    This bracket had an early burst of ~250 ppl at the start, about 50 ppl/hr since. My guess is it'll fill sometime during day 2.

    Slice 3 vet now at 295.

    Be warned though, since the second sub started (3.5 hours ago) about 50 people joined, so I am thinking this is not going to reach 1000. I could be wrong of course, so I'll try to update some time before sub 2 ends (if needed).

    Slice 4 vet now at 942. Leader is RandomTask20 with 16621.

    I expect it'll flip in the next 1-3 hours. (I, alas, will be asleep when it happens.)

    EDIT (6:52e): Actually hasn't flipped yet. It's at 991, should fill pretty soon.

    EDIT 2: And it's full!
