David, you should go on the podcast! Joe did right before he left and it was great!

An excellent idea. Dave and Josh should both make an appearance.

I'm only partway through the show and decided I needed to try the suggested duo of X-Force's Deadpool and Wolverine. Wow. That does work well. It's not great yet but that's because I don't have a lot of covers for them but it was devastating even with what I do have.

If anybody's curious, I put in Daredevil as the third character for that mission. He worked well alongside Wolvie & Wade.

Good discussion on ol' Patch. He just happens to be the only star.pngstar.pngstar.png Champion for one member of my household that plays (Jenn, AKA CatGrrrrl). She asked me to do The Big Enchilada for her last night. The first thing I did was respec the covers to 5/3/5. I teamed him with Vision (her second highest 3 star.png ) and Kingpin (her highest 4 star.png ). Those three worked very well together. I took Jenn's team through the first three levels with no problem but the enemy team's stored up AP wrecked me in round four. It was close but no cigar. I did it again with better power ups and succeeded.

I also went ahead and did the Professor X node in PVE which earned her the one Command Point she needed for a Classic Legendary. She opened it this morning and received her first Nick Fury cover: blueflag.png . Today should continue to be good for her as the DDQ character is Vision. Winning The Big Enchilada will gain her the 13th cover for the synthezoid and she has plenty of ISO to Champion him.

I enjoy the podcast too. I don't know anyone in the real world who plays the game, so it's fun to hear people shoot the 'kitty about it.

Really, though. When everyone is telling you a character is excellent, and your response is "I just don't see it," it's time to look again and figure out what you missed. At the very least consider that IM40 yields Hulkbuster covers.

    had to post about im40:

I just hit 1300 twice in the offseason (not an easy feat, even for 4* players) on the back of im40 feeding 4thor (underleveled) and jean (with 3s, sub mags/cap and kk, or some other combo). in brotherhood I t10'ed, which I almost never do and I hardly touched winfinite, instead choosing im40 teams over the angels. im40 is bonkers at forcefeeding ap to other really strong characters. I paused leveling 4s to champion him when the changes hit. and because of his effectiveness I bumped 4thor to the front of the line (currently 260 and counting) ahead of xpool, thing, rulk (12 covers), and SS. he's THAT good.

I just have a different philosophy. to me the top tier should be maxed first, regardless of covers you might end up selling. those rewards will still be there later and cmags and im40 will serve you SO much better in game play than doom and rags. those covers will come in again eventually and who knows, you might end up with some good pulls and more covers of the elite guy you just passed over.

edit: this was the first one I listened to. I really enjoy listening to mpq chat. keep them coming.

edit2: LMAO @ the gamma siphon talk. I can totally relate. and tacos are best used to go get some extra health packs when you need them. any covers that come in are just byproducts of getting health packs. if you play pve hard, they're very useful sometimes at sub-end grinds, especially on nights you have to pvp too. also useful if a pvp push has multiple matches go sideways (blade pvp is notoriously health pack heavy).

Agreed. And just so we're clear: we're not saying that you should go on the podcast right before you leave D3. You don't have to do it exactly like IceIX did. icon_e_smile.gif You could both go on, every so often to give MPQ fans updates.

And to add another "me too" to this thread, I also enjoy listening to the podcast. So much so that when a new one is posted I take a break from whatever other podcast I'm listening to (usually Nerdist) and start up Puzzle Warriors 3. Great job guys!

I just had a thought, it would be interesting if you guys could have some higher end players as guests from time to time.

That way we could get their perspective on stuff like winning the 4* DDQ for example or maybe the ISO shortage. icon_e_wink.gif

Yeah, this is my #1 recommendation for this podcast. I love podcasts and I love MPQ, so I enjoy this one a lot, and I almost always listen to each episode as soon as it drops, but it could really use someone who has more higher-level experience with the game. At the very least, someone who can defend IM40 against freaking Ragnarok.

Hmm, maybe I'll send in a PM.

Yes, ANYTHING to get the word out there, would be a good option!!!!!

Lord knows ( it seems as if ) they don't care about the hundreds of opinions on here, nor the thousands on Facebook. lol

Maybe the podcast can garner some more, much necessary attention.

The problem is that he is trusting one guy's love for Rags and he just wants to try him out over IM40. Rags is not a horrible 3*, but he is only mid tier when with a team that has a better green (Thor/KK/GSBW).

IM40 went from garbage to the best 3* overnight. I play with a lv405 OML with some championed 4*s, but IM40 is so good that I'll use him all the time now (3/5/5). I saw someone's champion at 5/4/4 and laughed because 5 yellow is what makes him good.
