ok, a few teams I enjoyed playing this past clear:

px essential: px/mystique/qs(only level 120) - one of the slowfinite teams. build blue. by then qs black should be cheap (green too). cast mystique blue and arrange a match-5 with qs black, makes more blue. rinse/repeat, punching with green as needed.
obw essential: obw/im40/torch - a combo I've never done before but against goons, this worked really well. thing could be used in place of torch as well. tried gamora first clear, but that didn't work as well with the yellow being occupied.

the cmags/im35/moon node - tried one of the listed 'fun' teams of kk/hood/psylocke(only level 120). this worked very well. took a little while since psylocke was low level, but thanks to hood/kk, was never in danger.
top muscle node - witch/jean/antman - got enough blue where I let a long string of commander yellows go off and I stole every strike. by the time a purple was about to go off I had enough green/purple where I just destroyed everything.

Goon-only nodes: OBW + 2*Mags + IM40. All but guaranteed to get enough blue to make sure no CD tiles go off ever and receive zero damage.

for goon node i like to use icon_ironman.pngicon_ragnarok.pngicon_blackwidow.png

iron man feeds both rags and window's blue, which ensures to tiles to puf all while spamming them with rags green/red

edit: been having lots of fun with icon_hood.pngicon_doctordoom.pngicon_groot.png with hood being protected by the two walls ap-wise set by doom and groot, leaving him to steal all the ap he can while firing his pistols

I hope that Muscle guy gets a promotion within the Maggia, he's really outperforming everyone else in the organization by a wide margin

the Scotland Yard node or w/e it's called is the easiest so far...speeding through with icon_blackwidow.pngicon_ragnarok.pngicon_ironman.png

juggs can't even fire his red cause I keep stealing it lel

For "business partners" my go to team of grocket/4pool/im40 is undefeated so far and finishes with near full health.

Highly recommend if you can field it.

Grocket and 4Pool is an Amazing combo. Haven't tried them with IM40, but I can see it working well. I'll have to try it!
I am considering giving up on top 20 just so I don't have to butt my head against Business Partners again...

I've been using im40/iceman against hood. chase either yellow or blue. if you can get to 6 of one of them quickly, all goes well usually. obvious third is 4thor, but others could work there too. also, if the opposing team doesn't have daken, witch/px/jean can work too if he isn't too high a level. has worked ok so far. not looking forward to tonight's grind.

The Hood/Mags node always gives me fits, but I'm 3/3 so far with a 3* rainbow team of Cy3lops / Iron Fist / Mystique.

Mystique's blue turns into black for Cyc, or purple for IF to turn into more black for Cyc. Cyc takes out Hood with his black, and then it's just three-v-Magneto. You've also got Cyc's yellow feeding his red, and IF's green for strike tiles. Very happy with how it's worked so far.

Cyc and Mystique are both boosted for this event, so my levels are 243 Cyc / 172 IF / 164 Mys against a 318 Hood and Mags.

Got through Business Partners with JG/4hor/IM40 and was actually able to grind that down to less than 100pts before time ran out. It would have gone even quicker with 4Hor's blue at 5, she's next on my list to max after JG.

Wish I'd thought of that Xpool/R&G/IM40 combo, that sounds like fun, but until I get my Xpool 3/5/5 maxed and respec'ed for red at 5, it wouldn't have been as effective anyway (he's after 4Hor on my list)

Got #14 by the end, which I figured, happy with the two covers, hopefully my alliance can stay in the Top 100 for for another day and we can all get another of her blue. Last time we ended up at #103 for Gwen, despite most of us hitting the top progression.

You need to aim for 1.5 times top progression for 4* releases, then you can carry a few low scores.
Top prog across the alliance won't get you t100.

Heh, believe me I know (NOW icon_e_smile.gif ) Got to 86,921 on this myself, its out of my hands now except for sending team ups. Everyone tries though, and in the long run I think that's better for an alliance. (the free CP's every few days helps too!)

I thought I was going to wipe on Business Partners on my first attempt at it, but fortunately Magneto used Coercive Field to let Squirrel Girl one-shot him. I'm glad I am nowhere near contention so I don't have to even think about grinding this last sub...

I found that grocket and loki make a very good team against magneto and hood. Just wait for magneto to used his yellow and then transform all those protect tiles into your own attack tiles. Grocket can also protoce strong attack tiles to complement. I personnally add miss marvel to the mix to create black a bit faster by tanking the magneto attacks

You still beat the heck out of me. I was in a super competitive slice but didn't have enough time to put into it myself. I ended up with a Moonstone cover. Frankly, I'd rather have had a Standard recruit token.

    64,205 for 145th place and icon_sentry.png . At least it wasn't Moonstone.
  • Moonstone is good.. its required for the next story icon_e_smile.gif
