Roster help (Day 119)

    I'm getting to the point where I need to make some decisions about my two star roster.

    Here is my cover queue:
    Daken x2 (2 star)
    Wolverine x3 (2 star)
    Ms Marvel x5 (2 star)
    Iron man 40 - 8 days
    Squirrel Girl x2 - 8 days
    Ares
    OBW X1
    Torch (3 star)

    My thought, based on advice in this and other threads, is to focus on leveling my two stars. Daken is close, and I will probably do wolverine next. Then OBW. I hav ms marvel covered and lots in he queue, but she's bad outside this pve event. I'm considering selling her and he two star torch for ISO. My inclination is to work on championing daken, wolvie, ares and OBW. I hate throwing away ms marvel but she will take a long time to level and the covers will expire by then I would guess. I'd roster iron man in her place.

    Seem like a good plan?

    that sounds reasonable to me. I have to point out that I highly recommend rostering im40. torch too if you can. im40 is the best ap generator in the game, and he's not uber-squishy like hood. and I like torch over someone like daredevil, but that isn't 'critical'. I think im40 is a key. once you get him to 5 yellow, he can do so much with different combos. in 2* land he could be used with storm, obw, ares, thor - lots of possibilities. I'd make sure he made my roster. I also like 3*torch, but he's one of many damage dealers. nobody in the game does what im40 does.

    I'm about 500 ISO from being able to champion OBW and I have 8 covers for her waiting. I will then respec her to 3/5/5. Next up is Ares and maybe MN Magneto, though I haven't used him much. I have 9 Ares covers waiting.

    EDIT: got OBW to 102 and made her 3/5/5... Hope that makes the goons easier to deal with.

    I REALLY want to top 50 in the next pvE as Daredevil is my favorite character. I hope I will be able to sing it with some discipline. I've not rally enjoys this venom bomb run, but I will likely top 100 in my bracket (maybe 150) without playing the hard nodes... Having Carnage kill my team turn 3 isn't much fun. icon_lol.gificon_lol.gificon_lol.gif

    Again, thanks to everyone for the advice. If there are tips specific for the upcoming dark avengers event, I am all ears

    It's a Heroic event, which means only det the boosted characters will be useable. It's challenging but quite fun IMO.

    Question: I have six 2* champions now - Thor, Ares, OBW, Storm, Daken and Wolverine.

    I have one more two star hero - Magneto - that I haven't used much. He's sitting at level 55. I have six covers that expire in 6-13 days for him. It will take approximately 55k ISO to champion him.

    Do I try or do I let him go to focus on the three stars and bank ISO?

    mnmags is not one I would pass up. he is an incredibly good blue/red battery. not as effective as a 5-yellow im40, but really good for a 2*. I used him longer into my 3* play than any other 2* character. his red is great too once covered. blue is meh, but very few characters have 3 really good ones and 2 of his are very good. I'd spend the iso on him for sure. until the 3*s are mostly covered, they won't be much better than your 2s anyway, so I'd limit the iso I put into them until they're ready.

    I would definitely max Magneto and respec to 3/5/5. He's top 5 in 2* land and he will also reward you with 3x 3* Magneto covers who is another very high tier character. That would also give you two really strong A/B teams...

    Thor/Magneto/Storm
    Daken/Ares/OBW

    I think you are still pretty far away from the 3* transition, so I would look at improving your 2* roster to help you place better in PvP/PvE until then. I wouldn't start worrying about 3*'s until you get around 10 covers.

    Managed to get the ISO and adjusted magneto.

    Not really sure where to go from here. The other two stars don't interest me... Cap and hawkey are rostered only for the last pve events... I've sold most of their covers.

    I can't play the dead pool daily for three star covers yet.... Never make it past wave two... (The guides say there ar only goons in wave one but that almost never happens... Almost always a hero there knocking me around).

    Any suggestions on what to do next is appreciated. I'd like to have a goal, but I'm afraid this will just be randomness for a while

    I thought I'd be ok with just the champs I have, but I'm regretting not keeping ms. Marvel and torch who each had 13 covers. I cut them to make space and now I'm sad they aren't around!

    I have hps for one more roster spot at the moment - thoughts on who in my queue should get it?
    Two stars: bagman, moonstone, bullseye, marvel, torch
    Three stars: ms. Marvel, Loki, she hulk, beast or punisher (I've sold several punisher covers ... Don't really care for him as I have started the max on)

    Easy. Loki. Awesome support character. Doesn't need to be leveled to be effective either.

    Unfortunately, some 3* covers will expire without HPs to increase roster size or cutting others. I cut the two stars down and I'm regretting it as I had two others max covered but I wasn't using them and wanted space. Now I'm at 20 covers in my queue and space for one.

    Most of the extras are two stars - bagman, bullseye, moonstone, torch, and marvel. The only three stars are ones I listed - Loki, marvel, she hulk, beast and pun. Pulled another Loki from DDQ so thats my likely choice unless I want to rebuild he leftover two stars

    She-Hulk and Beast are both solid but not spectacular. Either one would be a good pick.

    Ne Question: Is it worth rostering some lesser 2* characters just to champ them and get the thre star covers? I have 45 covers in my queue and, except for to she hulk and one three star bullseye, the rest are a combination of ms. Marvel, torch, bullseye and moonstone. im assuming by the end of the next lighting rounds, they will all be fully covers if they aren't already. I'm sure it's not worth the ISO (currently have 168k banked).

    I rostered, covers and leveled captain America last week just because of boredom and the desire to feel some sense of progression as things are fairly quiet...

    General consensus?

    It costs 73000 ISO to max out a two-star. I'll let you decide if it's worth it.
    I haven't bothered myself, but I was well into fourstar land when Champions were introduced.

    The issue I'm running into is, frankly, one of boredom. I play every day, and I have a mix of three stars, but they are sitting unused as I have 1-4 covers for them. The only reason I championed captain America was just to have another usable character, though I haven't used him much. I don't see any of the three stars being useful any time soon, and I find I'm just using the same few characters who are quickly approaching max level... I hear ISO is really hard to gather for later characters to level, so that's why I'm on the fence.

    I bought more roster slots and rosters the rest of the two stars but I didn't level them. It stops the covers from expiring whil I figure out what to do.

    If you see yourself having a use for them there's no harm in investing ISO into them. Even after I moved to Three-star land I got a few more two-stars up to maximum level, and still like to bust them out every now and then. In my experience, a wide and strong roster means you earn ISO faster, so as long as you stay away from leveling up bench warmers you should be fine.
